The pads feel great, but the short may run a bit small. I think next time I would go up be size from what it says

Probably supposed to be for football but I use it to absorb hits when sparring MMA or with boffer swords. Works like a charm with solid protection, and quite comfy. Only downsides are that occasionally a hit gets in between the pads, and I'm not sure how long it'll last under this abuse - not its fault given this isn't the intended purpose. On the bright side, even pretty heavy hits are handled comfortably when they don't miss the pads :)

I ordered this for my son to flag football. They typically don't wear pads because it's a low impact sport, but we all know how young teens get. They always find a way to hit, be hit, or diving to catch a ball or grab a flag. This has helped when he's hit the ground after a catch or knocked down running through a pile of kids. My son wears an adult large, which is the same thing I ordered her, and it fit. It's a little snug but that's how it's supposed to fit. We really like the shirt.As far as washing the shirt, that is not my department. I'm not sure if it said how to wash and dry as my wife handles that. I do know she hand washes it and hang dries it when needed.

The kidney pads are pretty stiff and it feels really good to wear this. I think this is going to be my go-to base layer for anything active or dangerous that I do, which I do a lot more than I thought I did before I had something I could put on to protect me from it.I wish I'd had this on when that bully and her group of followers caught me alone in middle school. My ribs probably would have been fine.It tries to ride up a little, but the kidney pads stop it from going too far. However, I'm female, so it might just be because this is made for a male shape.It's lightweight, but the padded areas are a lot tougher than I would have thought possible for the weight of them. The unpadded parts are a nice thin breathable, but not see-through, stretch fabric. Nothing rubs or scratches, and it's so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing a piece of protective gear.Even though it's obviously made for a male muscular pattern, it's been a huge help to me. I first wore it when using my chainsaw to cut up giant twisted old-growth redwood limbs that dropped and blocked our entire driveway. Those limbs were so tangled in each other there's no telling which way they'll snap or roll if you cut some part of it. It was nice knowing it would be that much more difficult for a branch to poke me anywhere that has important organs. Those are all covered, from what I can tell, except where it would be hindering my movement, but it's very unlikely for anything to get past my arms to the center of my belly, and having that part covered would be more dangerous by stopping me from bending forward.Moving around in this is just like normal, except it seems to improve my posture a little.

I got this for my nephew. The description says "youth" so I assume the sizes were youth sizes. They are not, they are adult sizes. Link the description should be could be clearer, like 90% of all Amazon's listings.On the plus, it fit my brother, and my nephew, who is a martial artist, could punch him in the pads repeatedly and he barely felt it. He said it fit well as a medium sized adult.

Great compression shirt with padding for any sport or physical activity that could be beneficial while having extra protection. It can fit under shoulder pads or motorcycle padding for extra shock absorption and impact protection. It fits tightly like it should and is breathable so it doesn't get too hot or too cold in various weather conditions. It can be dried quickly by simply hanging it up in an open area with good airflow. Great price for the incredible level of comfort and protection it provides! 5 stars!
