Great replacement igniter for my 2007 Weber Spirit E-310.I had replaced the battery power igniter once before and this one was less than half the cost of buying another. Easy to install, fit perfectly, and the 5 or 6 times I tested it, the gas lit every time on the first try.

I decided to replace some of the parts for my Weber Spirit BBQ. This was one of those parts. It works & installed perfectly as long as I either lie down on my back or tip the BBQ on its side.

I bought this to replace the igniter in my 24 year old Weber Genesis Silver B grill. The basic installation seemed easy. From inside the grill, just slide the two wires through the hole where the old one was and bend the metal flap outside the grill to hold the whole assembly in place. Except that in my case, the hole was not large enough for the two wires and the metal tab. I ended up having to trim and narrow the sides of the tab to get everything to fit correctly in the hole. USE CARE WHEN INSTALLING: the connection on the white wire is very flimsy and could break relatively easy during install. After my slight modification, the assembly fit fine and is still working since the day I got it (6/1/24). If anything changes, I'll come back and update the review.

A GM engineer could not figure out how to replace the ignitor, so he purchased a new grill, and i bought his for $25.For $9.99 and less than 5 minutes with a youtube video, the grill works perfextly!

This ignitor works and fits as good as the OEM part, but costs WAY less. Don't spend 3 times the money for the brand name part. This works just fine. And if you're buying this part, your grill is probably 20 years old anyway. So don't waste your money on that brand name part. No instructions though. But it's not difficult to install. You do need to remove the first burner to make it easy and you need to remove the ignitor push button in order to remove the ignitor body. But it's fairly easy to figure out, unless you're the type that's dangerous around tools. Then you might want to ask a pal for help.

I was able to connect the leads from this ignitor to the original switch. It was still intact and I couldn't figure out how to remove it. But I could tell that the original switch was still working, just that the ignitor and the box around it had deteriorated.Getting the old ignitor box out wasn't much of a problem. It pretty much fell apart when I pulled on it. This one fit exactly where the old one was. The connections were easy to see, and easy to connect.This has added life to my older grill.
