Very inaccurate, like very, off different amounts in different directions each cut. Looks aren’t everything but the general finish of this saw was terrible, the plastic moulding was really really bad quality and the metal blade housing honestly looked (and weighed) like badly done cast iron. That’s another thing, for a non sliding saw it was heavier than all of my friends 12 inch sliders. Overall just really bad, even sounded horrible, I don’t know much about motors but it sounded like it was 20 years old and had sand in it. Lastly the laser was a complete joke, I’m not a fan of lasers on miter saws anyways so it being bad wasn’t the end of the world for me, but the fact of how much it moves around and how weak the laser is even in a dark room is just another sign of the awful quality of this saw. Two of my colleagues use Hitachi miter saws, 1 of those saws is a 12 inch slider that’s 13 years old, the other one is an 8 inch slider that is legitimately the first ever sliding miter saw that Hitachi made, don’t even know how old it is but it’s very old put it that way! Both of them are still awesome saws, accurate and reliable, which is why I decided on a Hitachi or “metabo” now. Do not listen to what they say, they are not the same tools, if you want a Hitachi saw look on eBay for an older one made in Japan, the new “metabo” crap is exactly that. Crap.

The saw is great. It came with no owner’s manual or any paperwork.

Just got it up and running today, and I will write a follow up edit to this review after more work is completed with the saw, but so far I’m very happy with it.I agree with the previous reviewer on everything except that this saw definitely has a brake. Perhaps his is defective but the brake is in the published specifications and it performs as expected.

Instructions are not included but it is easily found online. It comes with a bolt that locks the miter. You replace that with a handle, but don’t tighten that in all the way until you find your angle. It does not have an electronic brake. The laser is closer to accurate than other saws I’ve used.
