We had a big wind storm a couple weeks ago and a branch fell from my fir trees and speared the top of my aluminum roof top tent. The solution - a sheet of aluminum, a roll of butyl rubber tape, and these Metal Magery 100 Aluminum Closed End Pop Rivets.Only issue was the diameter of the rivets. I had to jump up to a 13/64" drill to get them in.Don't tell anyone I'm hoping for rain. I want to see if I made a good seal.

I ordered a few different lengths of these for a seat project and they worked great. Set well and broke off clean.

Cheap low quality. Mandrel popped out before pieces where secure. Used Solid rivets instead. Will not buy again.

Installed in the hull of a jon boat using a brand new dewalt 20v rivet gun and not only did the mandrels not break completely, the grip is terrible. None of the 6 I used were solid…. All coated in 5200 but likely going to drill them all out and use another brand.

These rivets don't have much clamping force unfortunately. It seems that the mandrel may be to soft and brakes off before enough pressure can be applied and you end up with a loose rivet that isn't water tight

you can't put the harbor fright pop robots in your aluminum boat as the broken partial pull shaft is left in and it's iron. the robots will rust from dissimilar metals in just a few years.

I'm using this to plug up some holes left in my boat by the last owner. It works great with a little marine grade sealant. I found zero defects.
