I love our rain chain, but every time there’s a big windstorm, it gets hung up on a nearby bush. It’s annoying to have to constantly straighten it out. That’s where this rain chain anchor comes in. I attached it to the bottom of my rain chain, added some small rocks for weight and now wind storms won’t send my chain into the shrubbery. The spout on one side of the basin lets you direct water where you want it without eroding the soil near the foundation of your house.I like the aesthetics of this basin which matches the color and style of my rain chain quite nicely. It has a patina look that is probably just paint, but it is quite well done. Very tasteful and attractive.I only wish I had ordered this earlier. It would’ve saved a lot of aggravation and tangled rain chains.

This thing retains water, and that's dangerous!I had to drill holes in the bottom, as I didn't notice the flaw before ordering.
