Two of the gears on these tuners had bad teeth that did not engage with the worm properly, resulting in chewed-up teeth and a stuck tuner. Luckily, I ordered these 12-string tuners for a 5-course mandolin project and cut off two of the tuners, so I had two spare gears I could swap out. I should have lubricated these tuners before the first turn - might have helped.

The peg holes fit my 12-string, but the screw holes did not. Filled old holes with wood glue and they were covered up by the plate. Seems fine so far. Looks good. Buying just the buttons would have cost the same. And other products were selling only a single side while this came as a pair.
