Direct replacement - feels OE quality. I had to replace an expired hand piece that served me for the last 20+ years. I have original Metcal MX-500S station (MX-500P power supply) that have been serving since late 90's. Super fast delivery, low downtime with Prime delivery.

I like the old style of connector better (the one that had threads that screwed all the way on to the base), but this seems to work just fine.
