The factory radio, the climate control panel, and the storage box all link together under the bezel. So when I went to install a 3rd party head unit, the generic brackets that came with the unit just were not going to work. Also the fit and finish were going to leave some ugly gaps. This dash kit was the answer. The bracket fits like the factory radio and the trim parts are as close to a factory look as you can get. I did have to get out the Dremel and do some minor trimming but that was due to the head unit and not the install kit itself. The end result was a great looking fit.

fit perfect like a glove......even the way it clips on to the side of the double din deck was a good fit also I received it in 30 hours .I would say you should buy it if you need it worth the money by far....../////////

This Dash kit worked perfectly with my 2004 Grand Prix for the Double DIN receiver I purchashed. I do warn though that I ordered a first one and tried to do something custom that did not work out. I ordered a second one but all of the hardware (screws) did not come with it. luckily I still had the screws from the first order.To clarifiy these screws are the ones that connect the sides of this kit to the reciver you have purchased and without the proper size/thread of screw this install could be a pain.Also there a bunch of alignment options for were the screws can go to fit up to which ever reciver you have purchased.
