Works great and catches all the hair. It is made with a heavier metal than i expected and it looks nice (good quality). Please note, you do have to clean it off often because it actually does it's job - stops hair from going down the drain (and that's when you realize just how much hair has been going down your drain... for years).

I had a normal bath tub pop up but when I was dealing with hair loss and breakage it just blocked my drain. I removed the pop up and use this. Seems to work great. I assume it's catching most if not all of the hair as I clean hair from it every time I shower.

High-quality, fits both bathtubs in our bathrooms, perfectly. We bought others that were made poorly and didn't have that "tight" feel. These are perfect. They sit "flush" to the bathtub, and they catch any hair including pet hair (doggy grooming). The little "bucket" in the middle has a little handle on it, so you can take it out easy if you need to dump anything that was caught in it. What I also love about these, is that there's no chance that any bugs will come up through the drains into your shower/tub. We also have one in our kitchen sink. Note: about 100 yrs ago, we lived in an apartment where a big roach got into our kitchen sink by coming up thru the drain. It wasn't pleasant, let's just say that. This drain protector also covers that whole area, so nothing can crawl up. This is a very useful, practical item for any kitchen sink or shower / tub.

In a shower, it does not catch hair from going down the drain. (May work in bathtub since the water level gets above the level of the hair-catcher). This drain cover is not flat, it is shaped like a small mound. Around the edge of this mound are large holes, and there are smaller holes in the middle of the removable portion of the drain catcher. Unfortunately, the hair drains right through the larger holes, and never even gets to the inner portion of the drain cover, which has the smaller holes. Therefore, the product does not work. The product should be designed so that the smaller holes are on the elevated sides, and then the hairs would be caught in the hair catcher! The product is sturdy and will not rust, as it is made of stainless steel.

We have a bath fitter tub the drain is kind of awkward. It does not sit flat, so what we did was we took the big round piece off and put the little bucket inside the drain and whoa!! it catches everything!!! we could not be more pleased this is by far the best hair catcher we have ever had and I mean that the bucket gets filled with hair, pine needles from gardening I mean everything! Love it!

Santo remedio. Ahora funciona perfectamente bien.

Although 80% of reviews are 5 and 4 stars, there are a good amount of people that didn’t like this product for one reason or another. I wanted to test it out immediately, so I just took a bunch of my wife’s and daughter’s hair (hey, that may sound nasty but better to try it out immediately then after wonder how much hair that is a catching) that we had already cleaned from the tub. I ran the shower for 5 minutes to see what happened and it seemed to catch all the hairs, and it’s flush on my tub, nothing is sticking out. Some people said that the silicone backing on the bottom comes off after a couple of months but it still works well. That won’t bother me because I really don’t care if it’s going to scratch the tub or not because once it’s in there, we’re not gonna move it around, except to take it out to clean it. So I highly recommend this to anyone that uses the same type of plastic disposable hair stoppers .

First off - It works as expected, so that part is good. The descrption is misleading.1. It seems to be chrome plated steel not stainless steel.2. In a shower with a low flow shower head, the water level does not reach the top of the guard. Which is good. But the only hair and soap that goes into the removable cup, is the hair that falls into it. It is not easy to clean that material out of the cup, especially the bottom.3. The cup is not easy to clean and is too small to clean by hand. It gets quite slimy. I put it in the dishwasher and it was still very stained and Maybe it would have cleaned better if it was stainless steel. Several qtips can probably be used to clean the soap scum out of the cup.4. The main piece wipes clean easily with a piece of toilet paper and to gather collected hair after each use. Underneath the main piece will also need to be cleaned of soap scum after several months and keeps the small holes from clogging. It is hard to clean underneath because it does not seem to be stainless steel.5. The silicone ring fell off but works okay without it.6. It fit well in my Fiat brand shower base.7. General Design - I felt the removable basket was not helpful and hard to clean. Would be better without it. If it was stainless steel it would not corrode and would be easier to keep clean. Overall it does keep a majority of the hair from going down the drain.

Sorry for the gross photo, but isn't seeing it do its job the best way to know if it works? It really does catch hair decently well. I have very long hair, my husband has a billion tiny short hairs and we both also somehow manage to get coated in our long haired pets fur which also tries to get washed down the drain. This does a good job of catching a lot of our hairs as well as fur and has the bonus of also being very easy to clean afterwards. I clean it after every shower and it takes less than a minute. Do I think it catches every single hair? No. But I do think it catches enough to make a big impact on minimizing how often the drain will need to be unclogged.Having this in place definitely makes the tub drain a bit slower when showering. Not enough to really make the water back up too much, but it creates a little pool that's bigger than usual around the drain. If you let much hair accumulate in there and don't clean it often you will absolutely have trouble getting your tub to drain properly very quickly. I think it looks surprisingly good for a hair catcher and fits well over the drain in our 80's almond tub. Reasonable price too. Overall though I would say I am pleased with how it performs and I would recommend it!
