Big stable basic calculator for the desk or sales counter. Large buttons and tilted easy to read display. Solar power with battery for low light use. Turns on with all clear button which also clears memory. Decimal place sliders. Good features for a sales or bookeeping use. Great for tallying receipts or balancing a check book.

This calculator is probably bigger than you imagine, one of the largest I've ever seen. The top area is 7.5" x 6", about the size of a DVD box, and the keys are large, widely spaced, and have a good feel. The large numbers are easy to read and go to 12 digits. The angle of the display is just right.It's the usual 4-function calculator with memory keys, but there are some features, which as a non-mathematician, I don't understand. Read on.--I'm not clear on what the difference between the red "C" clear key and the "AC" "All Clear" keys is.--The "MU" key is described as "Mark Up" in the instructions but no indication of what it does--The 3-position "5/4" slider is not clearly explained in the instructions--The "Grand Total" key often does the same thing as the "=" key. Again, not clear.--The "on" key the red "C" key, but the label is barely readable, embossed in the plastic case. The calculator turns itself off after a few minutes. With the solar power, I'm not sure this time-out is necessary.There is a small instruction sheet, mostly in Chinese, with cryptic instructions on most functions, but the print is tiny and need a lot more depth to take advantage of the many functions.All that said, as a basic desk calculator for most uses, it's fine. Little design touches like the slightly-angled "+" and "X" keys are nice, and it won't skid on your desk top.

I do a lot of accounting work and smaller calculators are hard to operate. I like the size of this calculator as it gives you bigger buttons on the right side for the plus and equal keys and spaces out the keys on the unit throughout the keypad giving it a similar size to the older, large 10 key desktop calculators. I love the dual battery/solar and it takes very little light to get the unit to work. They do claim that is has an 'extra-large' display, and I would say that it is fairly average (just slightly larger than a less wide calculator may be) and would have liked it to be a little bigger. Key feel is good (there is a nice light click feel to the entry)and I like the way they angle the + and x keys to allow for decent speed on the keyboard. The skid pads on the bottom do their job well. Build quality seems good and the unit is 'hefty' compared to others in this range so I'm giving it 5 stars for the price they are asking.

This is easy to read large buttons perfect for those with poor eye sight, arthritis or just those who use calculators in their job and hate small screens and buttons.

This calculator reminds me of my old 10-Key and allows for fast addition of a large volume of numbers. It provides all the basic calculations of a typical calculator buts its size and layout are designed for rapid addition. It is rather large as a traditional 10-Key would be so it is best for home or office use. The buttons are very responsive and have a good feel for those skilled enough to go really fast without even looking.
