Polish Finish Gemstones
The process to polish-finish a bead:
After a gemstone is sawed and ground to the desired shape, it is usually polished to a mirror-like finish to aid light reflection from the surface of the stone. Very fine grades of diamond (50,000 to 100,000 mesh) can be used to polish a wide variety of materials, but other polishing agents work well in many instances. Usually, these polishing agents are metal oxides. Different stones are often very inconsistent in their ease of polishing, particularly in the case of faceted stones, so gem cutters are often very inventive in trying new combinations of polishing agents and polishing surfaces.

This is very long. I like that it makes a statement, but make sure you notice the length. You can also use it as a double strand by wrapping it around.Nice large beads. I’ve seen necklaces like this with smaller beads, not as striking.Price very reasonable.

I had this necklace, in Imperial Jasper, in my cart for the longest time, waiting until I had an excuse to buy myself a little gift. When I finally ordered it, I was so excited to finally see it in person. Initially I was a little bit disappointed because of the coloring of the beads in my necklace. There was very little blue with a lot of burgundy to brownish tones. I really wanted more blue in my necklace, but I know the beads are natural and therefore it would be impossible to get a match to my specific preferences. I left the seller a good review on their service but less than perfect on the necklace because I had been hoping my necklace would look as much like the photo on the site as possible. Almost immediately the seller contacted me to see if I'd like them to look for a necklace in their inventory that was closer to what I had in mind. I agreed and the seller found me the PERFECT necklace! I am so happy with the necklace they picked out for me and I can't wait to start wearing it! Very happy with this purchase. Stones are lovely and uniform, hand knotting adds to the necklace's sturdiness, and it has a good weight to it. Length is ideal (just past the bustline) and price is reasonable. I wish they offered it in malachite!
