These bits worked perfectly for drilling through porcelain tiles in my bathroom. The bit fit my drill nicely and was easy to use, making the whole process smoother than I anticipated. I was a bit cautious at first since I’ve never drilled through tile before, but once I got the hang of it, everything went smoothly. I recommend starting at a slight angle to get the hole started, and once you’ve got a groove, it works like a charm.I was also happy with how the bit held up—no chipping or cracking of tiles, which was my biggest concern. I did use water to cool the bit as I was drilling multiple holes, which seemed to help. It definitely made the task a lot quicker and more efficient.Overall, these bits are a great tool for tile projects. Take your time to start the hole, and the rest is easy. I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend them for anyone tackling a tile installation project!

I'm new to using these kinds of bits and drilling into porcelain, but I just completed the installation of grab bars in a bath area where there is super durable, hard and glossy porcelain. It took some practice getting a hole started exactly where I needed it, but once I got good at it, these bits made a clean hole all the way through.I'm not sure how long a bit like this is supposed to last. I made 8 holes and it consumed 4 bits. I'm sure the hardness of the material I was drilling into is the key factor, these tiles did not give easy at all. All-in-all, pleased with how these worked out.

I initially wanted to use these drill bits to make holes in my concrete walls. However, when I tried, it wasn’t effective since the bits have a flat head. So, I switched to a regular concrete drill bit (diamond-shaped) to get started, and then tried these again. While they generated a lot of heat and concrete dust, they didn’t drill very effectively. In the end, I kept using the concrete drill bit, which worked much better. These bits might perform better on tile, helping prevent cracks, but you’d likely need a sharper bit to maintain precision and stay in one spot.

Just used these today to drill holes into porcelain wall tile in a shower. I needed to fasten a shower column and a curtain rod and needed to drill holes in the tile to install anchors and screws. I used a 1/4" bit to drill 4 holes, and a 3/16" bit to drill 4 other holes. They both cut good and looked like they had much life left in them after the job. I don't know if the "wax" in the middle actually does anything or not. The bit seemed to be getting hot so I dipped it under water to cool it off a couple times, but it seemed to cut better when it was dry. It's much nicer than using a hammer drill and masonry bit to drill through tile. It's a much gentler cut rather than hammering on the tile. The only downside is because they are so small there isn't a center bit to start the hole, so it takes a steady hand to get it started where you want it. I started it on an angle till there was a bit of a groove and then slowly straightened the drill out to the angle I wanted.

I had jars that needed holes drilled in to make small planters. These bits worked so well and were very straight forward. The bits didn't have to drill that deep, so I felt the bits had reasonable lasting power for a good price.

Package arrived undamaged and contained all the items identified on the product page.Bit seems well machined and has an 1/4 inch hex shank so it fits into any of my drills perfectly. A for effort for putting measuring marks on the bit but for me they are hard to see while I'm drilling into an installed wall tile, and I don't every remember not drilling all the way through a tile but if you need them they are there.Drilling is a bit awkward at first having to start the hole at a 45 degree angle, you have to keep a firm grip on the drill to prevent it from walking away on you. Once you get a groove started and the bit starts to bite it works really well and makes a really nice hole without any chipping or tearing of tile. I tried dry drilling and it went a bit slower but worked flawlessly, the bit did heat up and was smoking for some time after finishing the hole but the quality of the drill is what counts and the last thing you want is to have to replace an already installed tile.I was a bit skeptical about these bits at first but I am now converted, these are great for punching a hole through porcelain tile. Take your time at first so the bit doesn't walk on you and the rest is easy. Like all drill bits let the bit do the work and don't apply too much pressure.

Cut right through cinder block. Large enough to fit masonry anchors into the hole. Would recommend that you start at an angle to cut into the wall and then push straight in once the hole gets started.

These work very well for drilling holes in porcelain tile in my bathroom. They perform even without water for cooling. Nevertheless, I used water in order to better preserve the tips as I know I will be doing a number of holes. In this bathroom project, I had to drill into tile for the bathroom tissue holder, towel bar, and towel ring. These diamond drill bits were amazing, making the job relatively quick and easy. And of course, none of the tiles cracked, which is the main reason for using these bits.

These bits are strong and sturdy and it was very easy to drill through the tile in my kitchen as I had to install a floating glass shelf on the kitchen backsplash. All you need to be mindful of is that you follow the steps mentioned in the product description and it will be fairly straightforward. It would have been beneficial if these instructions were printed on the package itself so that you can have it handy all the time but it should not be a challenge if that is something you will be doing all the time or frequently.
