Poor durability. The larger drill bit was reduced to nubs on the first hole. Please don't sell concrete drill bits that can't drill through concrete.

I have been using the drill bits over the summer and I have been very happy with them. I have used them on concrete and wood, htrought concrete they don't require extreme pressure just regular and through wood these go quite easy. I have been usring them with my old black & decker corded drill. I wanted to see if they would wear out fast but they haven't after at least 10 uses of couple of hours each I am very pleased and high recommend them. It is a quality product, with a good value for money. I got it through the Vine program and I am pleased I did.

As a DIY enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for reliable tools, and this masonry drill bit set has been a fantastic find. I recently used them for a variety of projects around the house, including drilling through concrete to install shelving and tackling some brickwork for a garden project. These bits handle everything with ease, from glass and tile to wood and plastic. The carbide tips make a huge difference, cutting through tough materials like butter. I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly they worked on concrete without wearing out quickly. One funny moment was when I decided to hang some heavy picture frames on our brick wall. I expected a struggle, but these bits made it so easy that I ended up hanging extra frames just because I could!

I'd gotten some other bits of this brand through vine and used them at my new house and was impressed enough that I got this set of multiple sizes. I didn't have any more projects currently and my new place, but knew my friend was redoing a lot of things in her kitchen and living room. So I took this handy multi-pack of multi-sized bits with when going over. While these are masonry, they weren't doing any heavy lifting on this project, but I got to use a couple sizes over there and so far they don't look any the worse for wear. I can't say exactly how long they'd last with constant use, but we got through the weekend and still have plenty of cut left to them. These did what they needed to do, gave options for sizes and were cheap compared to the local hardware store. They come in just a little clamshell plastic case, but it beats the twin packs with just cardboard backing that the second one can drop through when you break the first one out that our stores have. Organized by size and the color looks good (but doesn't last where used) and make them easy to pick out from your standard bits.

I am really starting to think that Amazon Vine reviewing is extremely biased. How these bits received such raving reviews is unsupported by the product itself. These bits last one or two holes when drilling 1/2" porcelain tiles. They (the bits) wear and tear as fast as the material they are drilling through. If you are looking to drill one, maybe two holes, through a product they claim they are designed to drill through, you may be fine. If you are looking to drill thousands of holes through frozen butter, you are probably fine as well. If you are looking to actually use your tools - for what they are designed for- for more than a one time job, definitely look somewhere else.

This review evaluates the “Green Masonry Drill Bit Set with Strength Carbide Tips (10-Pack)” made by MGTGBAO.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging. What’s in the box: ten (10) ¼” hex shank carbide-tipped masonry drill bits in the following sizes three (3) 3/16” bits, three (3) 1/4”, two (2) 5/16”, one (1) 3/8”, and one (1) 1/2”. Also included is one (1) hard plastic case.First impressions: The overall quality of bits seems very good. The drill blank is made from structural steel and is topped with tungsten carbide cutter heads for durability and longevity. The bits fit smoothly in a ½” standard drill chuck with no slop or slippage. The bits are ideal for all types of masonry drilling: brick, concrete, ceramic, and clay tile. ProTip: A key element to a clean, easy-to-cut hole as well as ensuring extended drill bit life, ALWAYS use water to cool the bit and help flush out chips. Also, set your drill to its low range and it is essential that you don’t “force” the bit into your work – let the bit do its job by providing even positive pressure. Forcing the bit into the work or using the bit dry will excessively overheat the bit and quickly dull it. I tried these bits on typical small projects such as mounting a mailbox to the side of my friend’s brick house and anchoring a couple of brackets in a concrete wall. The bits performed smoothly and efficiently. They are ideal for drilling small diameter holes up to 3-4 inches deep in normal-grade concrete or more porous materials like brick and cinder blocks. They work great for installing Tapcon screws as well. They are not contractor-grade bits you’d use for harder grades of concrete, for that, you would need SDS hammer drill bits.Since I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program, I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To determine drill bit durability and length of life, I intend to monitor this product over the next 12 months. Should anything change over this period, I will update this review accordingly.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am satisfied with the product; it does the job easily and conveniently. Proper care will last quite a few jobs. At a current price of $30.99 (or $3.09 each), I feel that this product is fairly priced for the quality and functionality delivered. In reality, at this price, if you use the kit for one or two jobs it has paid for itself. In summary: the “Green Masonry Drill Bit Set with Strength Carbide Tips (10-Pack)” made by MGTGBAO is well made and does the job easily and conveniently at a fair price. I would recommend this product.Pros 👍:✔ Made from good quality materials.✔ Tungsten carbide cutter heads for durability and longevity.✔ U-groove spiral shank design efficiently clears debris away.✔ Comes in a convenient hard plastic case.✔ Economic price point and great value.Cons👎:✘ None.

My mom has a lot of trouble getting around these days, so I’ve been putting up railings and grips to make it easier for her. She especially needs help with our front steps and the shower, so I needed to find bits that could cut through tile and concrete. I wasn’t expecting a lot from these Mgtgbao bits, but I’ve been impressed with them so far.I didn’t care much for the box they come in, but the bits themselves are very well made. They offer a good variety of sizes from 3/16 up to 1/2, and the bases are marked in both imperial and metric. The hex base makes it easy for the chuck to grip it securely, but the shanks were a tad long for my Black and Decker drill and allowed the bits to wobble a little during use.The battery in my 18V drill won’t hold a charge lately, so I had to use my old 12V for my tests. The torque and rotation speed are comparatively low, so I think that hampered the performance of these bits. Even so, I was very happy with the results.I really wanted to see how they’d handle tile, so I found a scrap piece and gave it a go. I expected the point to skitter across the smooth surface, but it immediately bit in and drilled smoothly through. I tested several other bits, and all of them worked perfectly with only moderate pressure on the drill (see photo). There was often some minor chipping around the entry, but no breakage at all.Concrete was my second concern, and I wanted to see how they would handle different types. I drilled a small hole into our foundation wall, but it took longer than expected and I think that was the fault of my underpowered drill. I also tested some softer concrete on our walkway steps where I plan to mount a railing, and the results were much better. The bit cut in nicely and hardly built up any heat at all (see photo).Out of curiosity I also tried wood. While they bored through well enough, the tips built up a lot of heat during the process. I also noticed that the wood was forming a shell around the cutting surfaces that reduced their effectiveness and had to be chipped off.Through most of my tests, the bits generally showed little wear at all. The only exception came when I was drilling the much denser concrete in our foundation, which did wear the bit down somewhat. Regardless, I found the results promising and I’m quite pleased. At $30.99 they’re a tad pricey compared to other sets I’ve seen on Amazon, but the $10 coupon they’re currently offering makes them substantially more competitive. These are good quality bits, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to do a little comparison shopping if you want to get the best deal possible. My rating: 4 stars

The set of 10 carbide tipped masonry bits came in a pouch type holder which was cracked in several places. The bits, having four carbide tips are an improvement over most of the two cutter tips on the market. Don't expect precision though. Three of the bit sizes were oversized possibly due to being manufactured in metric sizes. Precision, of course, isn't required for drilling in concrete. Also, don't assume that a 3/8" bit will drill a hole for a 3/8" concrete screw. The holes I punched in concrete were oversized by 1/16".The seller does not state the type of drill that should be used. A hammer drill is normally used for concrete but because of the four-cutter design and the hex shank I decided to try an impact driver. Four of the ten bits didn't fit the hex chuck due to the heavy green coating. I filed off the finish to make them fit. I needn't have bothered as the impact driver didn't work. I the chucked the bit up in a corded 1/2" Dewalt drill and was able to drill holes by leaning on it and using water as a lubricant. I did not try a hammer drill. So, the bits do work as intended. I'll need more work with these bits to see if they are an improvement over the two-cutter design and using a hammer drill.

When you advertise your bits as a "Concrete Drill Bit Set" I expect they will not have an issue drilling into concrete. I am not sure what kind of concrete they were referring to, but I turned two of the three tips of one of the sizes into bald/smooth surface trying to drill a single hole, and I got no further than one inch deep. During the entire attempt to drill, there was merely a second or two where the bit actually grabbed and bored into the concrete about half an inch, then it went right back to just spinning, not boring, and stripping the bit. Not recommended for Concrete. I did use one on wood, no problem there, but these are advertised as masonry bits, and should handle concrete.
