Over the winter, my kids had an interest in growing indoors when they had nothing to do around the house. This microgreen kit helped them with their boredom. Here are some pros and cons.Pros:- Sturdiness of the containers can be rated five out of ten, especially when too much water has been added.- Simple to follow instruction on a card (not soft piece of paper) make this very kid friendly.- Germination rate looks acceptable but the density of the seeds can be denser.Cons:- Although this is for the fun of growing microgreens, and not to actually harvest as high a yield as possible, this is very expensive. You are paying for the convenience of an all in one kit.- Each type of microgreens only yields a very small portion of greens.Overall, despite the price, I do recommend this microgreen growing kit because it introduces kids to the fun of growing your own microgreens.

I purchased several of these as gifts for family and friends. The great thing is they do not require a green thumb or farming experience!The end result is a fun effort that can go into actual meals.Highly recommend

I really enjoyed expierincing this nutritious and educational purchase. I used their other poduct HYPERoots this summer on my garden and house plants and the growth compared to past years was incredible- I'm guessing Amazon recommended this on my feed because I purchased that.In any case, it was very easy to use and my 6 and 8 year old boys actually managed the entire process. The steps were very straightforward and the results were immediately satisfying - basically within 1-2 days we saw sprouting of the seeds and each day after the kids and I ran downstairs each morning to see the new growth. It grew fast and lush. The micro greens were tasty, the Kale took a couple of days longer than the other three to germinate. The arugula was perfectly bitter and a great garnish.My kids especially loved taking about what microgreens actually are and discussing the power of a small seed and young greens.We enjoyed it.

The product arrived promptly and had easily labeled parts. The kids loved following the simple instructions, (with great pictures). We started growing in no time! All the products included are biodegradable and made in the USA! Makes a great homeschool science tool , (we incorporated it when learning about plant growth). I highly recommend and plan to include as gifts for my friends. Great price point!
