I noticed that some other viewers had issues with the precision at the 0.0001 point, but as we will be using these micrometers to take measurements for 3D printer projects, that's not an issue for us and we're basing our review on our needs uses.First off, for a set of 6 micrometers, I certainly couldn't beat this price ($89.00 at review time), so this was the perfect time to add these to our shop. The 3D printer projects we do don't have particularly tight tolerances, so these will work well for us, and are much more precise than using a shop ruler or even the calipers we've been using for several years. The assortment of sizes will cover the range of almost any project we can think of, and the included calibration blocks will make it easy to get everything dialed-in and keep it that way.The box is your basic wood box, nothing fancy, but still a great add for us to help keep everything organized and in once place when we need it.Perfect set for our needs, and maybe you'd need something better for higher precision, but I'm guessing if you need that kind of precision (0.0001) then you probably already know exactly what you need (if this isn't it), and again, for less than $100 you just can't beat it.

Great for me. I just do a little tinkering here and there in my garage. These are great for me. I'm not sure how accurate they are but they are good enough for what I do.

At the time of this review, there are two other reviewers, Cody W Colvin and William Faulk. Both reviewers did quite accurate and thorough reviews. Both reviews a very helpful and should be read before you decide. But my review takes a different tack. The price for this set at the time of this review is a very low $89.00. So my review is through that lens. My first "set" of micrometers, many, many years ago, consisted of a 0-1" and a 1-2". Accurate to 0.001". No case at all, and no standards for calibration. I had to borrow them from a co-worker. I paid $45 for that set, and I was thrilled. When I ordered this set, I had the realization, for the price, I should expect the set to not be the finest set of instruments. Furthermore, I should expect they will require further calibration, though this set's 0-1 micrometer was spot on.The case is made from low-end wood and is roughly finished. But unlike my first set, at least it came with a case. I find this set to be perfectly serviceable, and I am thrilled to own it.
