This review is for Microscope for Kids stedunts, 40X-2000X Magnification, 3 eyepieces LED Light with Microscope Slides, Phone Adapter,Kit for Home School. After homeschooling for 20 years, I recently closed my home school and got rid of our microscope, and I've regretted it ever since. I got this product to replace it.Positive(s):- The best thing about this product is the compatibility with a phone. My old microscope didn't have this feature, and we're loving it. The product itself doesn't have picture-taking capability. The slide can be viewed on the phone, and/or pictures can be taken using the phone's screenshot capability. Utilizing the phone allows users to see a larger picture than just viewing through the lens and also makes group instruction easier.- The swivel head allows multiple people to see without moving the microscope.- It's light and portable, especially with the carrying case. Even younger kiddos don't have a problem.- This is a small thing, but the color dials are appealing to children.- The parts are easy to change out.Negative(s):- The higher magnifications just aren't clear. They're not going to do anything to foster a love of the micro world, and kids will be left wondering what's so exciting about it. Instead of trying to cover so many magnifications, the manufacturer would have been better off focusing on doing intro level magnification really, really well.- I wish the platform were movable. It takes greater fine motor skills to move a slide minute distances than to turn a knob to move the platform. Some children just aren't going to have the fine motor skills and control necessary to get the slide where they need in order to view it.Overall, the product makes a good introduction into the microscopic world for elementary-aged kids.

I purchased the SEDUMIC Microscope for Kids & Students (40X - 2000X Magnification), and let me tell you—this is not just a toy microscope for kids. It's a serious piece of equipment that delivers impressive results.I recently received a pair of diamond cluster earrings for Christmas. Each earring contains 19 tiny diamonds, most under 1mm in size, so I was curious to see them up close. Using the 4X objective lens and the 25X eyepiece, I carefully placed an earring under the microscope and attached my phone to the included mount. The detail in the images completely blew me away! I could clearly see the inclusions in the diamonds, something I was not able to see before. While they may not be as flawless as I initially thought, it was fascinating to examine them in such detail. One drawback is the built-in top and bottom lights, which are quite dim. I found that positioning the microscope near a sunlit window provided much better viewing light. At $90, with an additional 10% off bringing it down to $81, this is a fantastic value for the quality and functionality. Whether for students, hobbyists, or even gemstone enthusiasts, I highly recommend it!

The first time you open the case for this lab-quality microscope and look at the included introduction booklet you will get the impression that this is a toy for children older than 8 years old. You will think that because the booklet says so. But believe me my 1968 microscope I bought for medical school does NOT have the magnification range, the built-in LED Above and Below Lighting System, or the ability to take pictures with your phone that THIS one has.My venerable microscope is a beautiful Zeiss Optical instrument that rests quietly in its wooden transport case. It is a monocular (a single eye tube as this new one is) microscope and it came with three objective lenses that allowed me to reach 900X power magnification. It cost $2195.00 in 1967 and it has served me well for sixty years. Frankly, this new one has markedly better specifications. This new optical gem also has three objective lenses that offer from 40x power to 2000x power magnification of the specimen. More than twice my original.Doing the classic microscopic analysis of a drop of blood smeared across a glass slide requires from 400 power to 1000 power to see and identify the components in the blood.Erythrocytes – RED Blood Cells – Carry OXYGEN Through the BodyLeukocytes – WHITE Blood Cells – Part of Your IMMUNE SystemPlatelets – THROMBOCYTES – Part of Your BLOOD CLOTTING MechanismViewable at TWICE the magnification of my original. To be honest, I would not trade my original Zeiss scope for anything, but THIS is the microscope I use today.I am still content to spend hours with a microscope for the sheer pleasure of visiting the world of the unseen. I used my old Zeiss for years whenever I got the urge to go down the small stuff rabbit hole or when my wife would find “something” on one of our cats and being the “IF ONE of them has IT, they ALL have IT” Cat Mom that she is I was getting the old scope out and playing Entomology Detective. But sometimes the old scope just didn’t have the power to resolve the image of “whatever that is…”Now, I explore the invisible world around me in stunning detail using this microscope. Its magnification range is perfect for diving into the tiniest details of specimens, and the easy-to-use COARSE and FINE focus knobs make adjusting for clarity a seamless process. The combination of a sturdy metal body and adjustable ABOVE and BELOW LED lighting ensures that I always get sharp images, whether I am examining something transparent or opaque. What stands out most to me is how versatile this microscope is. With dual power options of USB-C cable or batteries and a padded case that makes it easy to transport, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use at home, at school, or on a field trip. You would be AMAZED (and a little freaked out) by what you might find swimming in that little pond or stream near your house. And I do NOT mean fish! And if you happen to live in the middle of the city, just find some “standing water” outside and put a drop on the slide cup that comes with this microscope. Other accessories include prepared slides to examine right away and all the materials needed to create, examine, and catalog your own slides, which adds a new, hands-on dimension to your scientific curiosity. This is an excellent choice of a high-resolution optical instrument for anyone wanting to see the world from a perspective that MANY people will never see. If you are fortunate enough to have your own microscope please share it with others. It is still fascinating for me after decades of use. And the first time you identify the ear mite that is making your cat CRAZY trying to scratch at their ear you will be permanently hooked. This AMAZON VINE Review is FIVE STARS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!Thanks, AMAZON!Mark in North Carolina

I know that this is recommended for kids, but I got it for myself because I always wanted the microscope in this is an amazing starter microscope. If you’re super Duper into science but don’t have a lot of money to spend on a top-tier microscope then this is an amazing starter microscope is definitely better quality than like a kids microscope you get out of like Walmart or something. It offers a good amount of range in reference to ability to view objects, however I wouldn’t recommend it for super small objects, but it’s definitely great for viewing things like rocks or coins maybe things of that size.
