I inherited a mountain bike that wasn't a year old. However, it was not treated well. The derailleur were gone, part of the cable housings were gone, neither brake nor shifting cables were attached. The back tire was not true. I've been steadily learn.g about MTB maintenance thru videos on YT. Thank God for them. Its not easy. A few pros at different bike shops from CA to AZ said its not worth it. Buy a new one. Six months later I'm still trying to get it right. Now I am replacing the shifters. Damage, dirt and I messed them up. Had to CUT one off. I find these. They are way nicer than the originals. They were on Prime and I was waiting for the mail excited to try. Again. I had to wait because we went to the movie. I opened then and was very happy held them the whole time. The company gave me a very nice note say I.g thank you and a little sucker in the box. These are standard twist shifters. Came with cables ready to install. NO hassles. Clean easy and I got my candy. I'm super happy. Of course if your a hard rider or a pro, etc. Get the expensive ones, of course.

Arrived on schedule, put on after Xmas. Adjustment is / was a bummer - nothing wrong with the shifters at all, but the Derailleurs and chain are worn and probably should be replaced also. Very easy to shift, and makes riding a city-fied mountain bike fun again
