I think that this works good, but I also think that the manufacturer should have left specific recipes or at least cooking times for the foods to cook in it. While fumbling around I did attempt a panini and it came out well. It's really just a matter of finding the right settings for your microwave. Definitely recommended

Like many kitchen gadgets, this only partially works the way they state it will. Is this going to produce a lovely grilled sandwich as shown in the pictures? In my opinion? Nope, it will not. After testing this out? I wouldn’t use any bread in it – it didn’t make any grill type marks as shown and the bread was squishy. The pros: it cleans up easily, it did a semi decent job cooking some very lean chicken. The little pot grabbers that come with this set? They actually are nice and work well. The cons – it doesn’t stay closed – the little tabs on the side keep popping open. Its shallow – be very careful if there are any fats in the meat – this is very shallow and it will drip all over your microwave. Though it cooked the chicken? It was kind of an odd texture – I rather have pan cooked or oven roasted chicken.Over all? In a pinch or if you are in a hurry, this will get the job done well enough. Its not going to produce the food shown – but it will cook things.

Used it once so far I’m sure I have to learn the tweaks but good so far. One thing I will mention is eat the sandwich when it’s done. If for some reason you let it sit to cool off too long the bread gets tough. Typical microwave type food with bread items.
