Sometimes, while walking the dog, you just need your hands free, so I was really happy to receive the Midog Leather Dog Leash, Waist Leash for Dog Walking. It was great to be able to wrap one end around my waist and let the dog be on the other end. I've found it nice, now that I have two dogs, to be able to attach them both to a single leash and be able to walk both of them at the same time.The quality of the leather is nice, and I do really like the color. It is a bit on the thin side for my larger dog, so I feel like if your pooch is more than about 30 pounds, you'll likely need something a bit heavier. Overall though it is a nice leash.

This leash is very sturdy and is so pretty at the same time. I wanted a leather leash that is still feminine and this was the perfect leash that I was looking for. The leash is pretty thick so it isn't that flexible but I don't mind that at all. I also love that you can make it a hand held leash or put it around your body no matter what your size is since it's adjustable which I find it so genius. It's very comfortable and I am thinking about getting the collar to match the pretty color! Worth the money

This leash feels very strong and sturdy. First leather material leash I've had and it is a lot softer than I expected. It is not stiff and does not cut into your hand when you are holding on to it, although not as comfortable as the padded nylon type of handle (mostly because it's thin in width). It's comfortable when worn on the waist & does not dig in when our pup pulls. Although, be careful to brace yourself when using any type of waist leash, especially if your pup is a puller.It has one of those bolt swivel snap hooks on both ends for multi-purpose convenience. It does not have a sewn handle, so if you want a handle, need to clip the hook onto the d-ring at the top. This could also be useful if you need to hitch your pup to a pole or table leg for a minute -- you could just loop the leash around and clip it on. It's not a feature readily available on most other standard leashes.There is also a movable d-link that you can slide up/down the length of the leash to use it as a waist leash. I found the leather slide tab is also quite sturdy and stays put where you set it -- does not slide around when you are using it, even with my pup pulling on me.I like the waist option. I have a 40" waist and the leash is long enough to clip around me and still have slack for my dog to not be right next to me lol He is a medium sized dog, so if your dog is smaller I suppose you would have less slack though. I find it is better to have a little slack because when it's too short, it's kind of difficult to walk without getting in each other's way lolThe leash had some braiding details and is two-tone colored, with matching brass/gold colored metal clips/rivets/accents. Not sure if the braided portions are for increased strength. I am indifferent about the design honestly -- would've been ok if it were plain lol but if the braiding is just for aesthetics, it's nice. I have not gotten it wet, but am trying not to as was advised by most not to get leather wet as a general rule. Although, if it rains or drizzles, I think it would be ok. Just wipe it down and dry it out proper when you're done. Not sure if the leather was dyed though...in which case the color might run >For the quality of the item, and compared to general leash prices, I think this one is a good deal for the price. I would repurchase if needed, but given the quality, it might last long enough that you would not need to repurchase ;p

This is a beautifully constructed leash and the leather is very high quality and very soft yet strong. It has a dual color which works really well, the clips on the end are very sturdy and strong and the fact that this loops around my waist and I can adjust it to any waist size easily by sliding the loop, it's now my main go to leash when I'm bringing only one of my dogs with me. It allows me to be hands-free and have enough space for the dog to be able to walk next to me or next to my shopping cart or behind me without it getting tangled on things but with also giving them enough space. I've actually gotten compliments on this leather leash, I have another one that's a similar design that doesn't have the attachment feature where you can Loop it around your waist to operate hands-free and I get compliments on that one as well but this one is more functional in terms of being able to use both my hands for something else while still out and about with one of my dogs. The braiding feature that is on the opposite end is also beautiful. And the two-tone design really makes the quality of the leather stand out. Just the detail of the whole thing and the craftsmanship is outstanding. And it is truly authentic leather and will last for many years. Whenever I get new leather items for my dogs I always put a bit of leather conditioner or saddle soap on them to make them more resistant to stains. I've gotten this leash wet and it dries without any hardening of the leather. The photo is what it looks like now after having used it several times and after having walked with my dog out in the rain and even the light colored portion of the leather is still beautiful soft and free of stains. It is definitely getting softer the more I use it although it was already soft to start. Just a really beautiful well constructed dog leash with lots of functionality because of the waist strap capability. Highly recommended!

Honestly didn’t think I’d love a hot pink leash this much, but here we are. It’s super sturdy, clips are solid, and I can walk both my chaos gremlins without losing a hand. Works great for runs, and I feel kinda cool wearing it. 10/10, would leash up again.

My eldest daughter has two dogs. One is a giant Pitbull with limitless energy. This works great as one large leash for her Pit, which allows her have more space to run. Or if she needs to keep the dogs close she can switch it and use the leash for both of them. The braided design actually makes for a good grip, as well as a great stylistic choice. The leash itself is made from a really high quality leather, it's super comfortable in the hands and very sturdy.
