Made in Taiwan not Made In The USA as pictures show. I have purchased this product multiple times in the last few years and has always been USA made. Would have bought a different product if I would have known. Snips are also not very tight so they will wear out sooner than the previously purchased snips.

They are excellent cutters. Great for general purpose, too, and well priced for a USA-made tool. The 8-inch is the most portable, but the 10 and 12 are definitely better workhorses for extended use.Pesky packaging? Cuts in sheet metal? Vinyl materials need cutting? This thing isn't just good for the trades. Super useful as a general shear for daily use.I used a pliers wrench to adjust the tightness to my liking - another reason why I absolutely love tinner snips over aviation snips. Easy to sharpen, easy to adjust to your specification, better grips that won't slip, CR-MO alloy for long life... what's not to love? Way to go, Midwest.

I have used Midwest tin snips in the kitchen for years to cut up fresh chickens. I oil them with white mineral oil after carefully drying. I just upgraded to a larger pair due to arthritis and I just cut the back out of 1 chicken in less than 1 minute, I also split the breast. This is the only way to go for safety, way safer than a knife with slippery hands trying to butcher meat.
