Works well, plenty stout for a hard-pulling 60 lb dog. Good attachment rings for leash and tags. Can be used as a martingale or regular collar, depending on where you attach the leash.

Let me just gush about the Mighty Paw Martingale Nylon Training Collar—it's been a total game-changer for me and my furry friend! You see, my dog trainer had this stroke of genius and recommended it for our walks, and boy, am I grateful!Picture this: before we got our hands on this marvelous collar, our walks were an intense struggle. My dog, bless their enthusiastic little heart, would pull on the leash like their life depended on it. But since we started using the Mighty Paw collar, it's like a whole new world out there! The pulling has drastically reduced, and it's made our walks so much more enjoyable. What's fantastic about this collar is its remarkable combination with a no-pull harness. It's like they were destined to be together! With this dynamic duo, I have this newfound control and can guide my pup without them feeling any discomfort. It's all about gentle yet effective training, my friends. Now, here's the part that really had me jumping for joy—the safety factor. Regular collars can be a pain in the neck, literally! But not this one. The Martingale design of the Mighty Paw collar ensures that the pressure is distributed evenly, keeping my dog's precious neck out of harm's way. It's such a relief to know that my furry buddy is protected while we're out exploring the world together.Oh, and let me tell you, this collar is not messing around when it comes to durability. The folks at Mighty Paw have clearly put their heart and soul into designing a collar that can withstand the antics of even the most adventurous pups. The nylon material is sturdy and built to last, giving me peace of mind that it won't give in to my dog's playful antics anytime soon. I couldn't be more thrilled with this martingale training collar. It has transformed our walks into pure bliss, and I can't recommend it enough to my fellow dog owners. Trust me, if you're looking for a reliable, effective, and safe solution for leash training, this collar is the way to go. Your furry friend will thank you, and you'll wonder how you ever managed without it!

Edit: after using this for several months I’ve had some issues. The collar does not stay adjusted to the right size it loosens with use and I’ve had to readjust it with every use. Not a big deal for me as Im obsessed with checking gear before each use anyway. The REAL PROBLEM is that if your using a regular clip on leash the squared corners on the d rings for this collar can cause it to slip off the leash. We lost 3 chickens when this happened with our 7mo old Mal pup while he was tied out. It doesn’t happen from pulling it’s from when the corner of the dring hits the clip just right and causes it to slip off. Hard to explain. I thought it was a fluke but it happened two more times while out walking. I still like the collar enough to keep using it but I will be changing to a lead with a locking clip to ensure we don't have the problem again.Original: Very happy with this collar it has several features all in one and it looks great. I have a 6month Malinois who still struggles on occasion with pulling on the leash. I don't like having to use different collars because we train during normal walking & playing behavior so I need the transitions to be fluid without him adjusting behavior just because Im putting on new gear. This one allows me to switch it up from casual to training mode without him even realizing it. I did not like the martingales that had to slip over the head. I was always having to adjust them before and after putting then on it was a hassle. I like that this one buckles on & off and has separate d rings for either martingale use or standard collar use. When its on it does not look like a martingale it looks like a normal collar. It even has a separate ring for the id tag which is a huge bonus. Its good quality and thick with reflective stitching, I expect it to last a long time. I bought the medium which fits comfortably and has plenty of room for growth.

The heavy-duty strapping is a little on the stiff side right out of the packaging, and I'm concerned that it might be too many loops and clasps for my particular long-haired breed (leonberger). I'm thinking it might cause matting, or just not lay flat enough. With these dogs, you want a color that is wide enough to be gentle on their neck when they pull, but also narrow enough to hide in their coat, which is tricky. But so far, so good (she's worn it for a few days). It would be perfectly fine on a short-haired breed. What I like about it is that all of the hardware and stitching seems very sturdy and secure. Also it has a separate little plastic loop for her tag to be attached, as well as a metal loop on the martingale part, and another metal loop if you want to use it as a regular fixed collar. You can grab the martingale loop as a handle if necessary. The plastic quick-release is as good a quality as any other collar we've owned. I feel secure using this on my 90-lb dog. The gray color is very pretty, too.
