I really wanted to like this mop & support the company but this thing is really poorly made. The handle spins loose, the butterfly action leaves so much water (clean or dirty) on the mop and it cant be squeezed out regardless how hard you try which in turn leaves lots of water on the floor you just mopped.Throwing it out today

I liked the way it was to rinse out easy with the way the handle was to use. I like the way the sponge works to clean your floor.

I use this to clean water out of the bilge of my sailboat. It is handy to use standing up. Before, I used to get on my hands and knees with a sponge to remove the water. This is saving my back!

The blue plastic used to squeeze water from the sponge is very weak. This mop had the sponge installed backward causing uneven floor coverage. The plastic cap at the top of the handle constantly pops out into my hand. Could work adequately for a short person but more difficult for someone 6'2".

I hate the new modern mops. I grew up with mops that you simply operate from a standing position and do not have to change the mop heads every time you use it. It comes assembled completely, which is good for a bachelor like me. Just like the old wonderful mops I grew up with the 1960s and 70s. Strong, sturdy easy to use, and like I said already assembled completely. Totally worth the price.

It even didn’t last 1 month and it was Brocken quickly after 5 times use ! It was made by very cheap material.

Most gator mops are made of either cellulose (wood pulp) or synthetic "poly" foams (polyethylene, polyurethane, polyester, etc) - this one is specifically a "Soy-based polypropylene sponge" - I have to wash floors with a 10% bleach solution and this is the first of the mop heads that lasts a very long time and retains it's usefulness with very little degradation through several uses lasting months where other more common poly foams and cellulose would show significant degradation & be almost completely useless after 3 uses. While a PVA mop might be more chemically resistant (they don't usually come in anything but roller mop form and are better for their amazing absorption properties which isn't necessarily what you want when you want to spread a solvent/liquid over an area for disinfection) they are also more expensive and will degrade when exposed to bleach solutions. The mop body is very well made, mechanically and is sturdy, long lasting which was a pleasant surprise. The heads are very soft to feel and do an excellent job putting down & picking up water/cleaning solution. Did a lot of research and looking around to find this - if you find your mop heads crumble too soon definitely get this mop especially if you use bleach.
