About this item

  • Extremely Effective: This tool is designed specifically for fire and EMS professionals. You have different tools for different scenarios. This is one specific tool that will do the job on ~80% of Commercial facility doors.
  • Optimal Design: Other inferior competitor products sacrifice critical functionality and usability for an inadequately sleek one dimensional tool that will fail you in most scenarios. The Chaos Bar's L shaped design and precisely sized dimensions are engineered perfectly to allow quick and easy access in demanding/stressful situations. The L shaped design allows for drastically increased leverage and grip strength that is absolutely necessary when utilizing a swipe tool of this nature. Reducing response time saves lives.
  • Non-Destructive Entry: This firefighter tool is designed to prevent unnecessary damage when accessing necssary Commercial entry points without compromising speed and efficiency.
  • Lightweight, Compact, and Durable: The Chaos Bar swipe tool is constructed from 14 gauge powder coated steel to achieve ultimate durability while still maintaining a lightweight profile.
  • Lifetime Guarantee: All Milspin products come with a no questions asked, lifetime guarantee. If you can break it, we'll replace it.

It's perfectly sized, works like other bars. The steel is good quality but the coating can chip if you aren't careful. Very simple and worth the investment.

Product bent at the latch part and somehow got wedged in the doorframe pinned against the latch. Essentially the part of this that’s supposed to get behind the latching mechanism of the door handle, yeah that bent this “durable” tool and got it stuck.Ended up having to get a drill bit to core out the handle from the keyhole effectively destroying said handle. Don’t waste your money on this. I ended up donating to the scrap yard.

Does not work as well as perceived. I would look around for a better product

I do some work doing fire follow up, meaning I am not an actual firefighter that goes into burning buildings, but rather is one of the guys that hangs around later, wetting down anything that shows signs of heat or smoke. The other guys are the heroes, I'm the cleanup, lol. Anyway, occasionally I see the need to open a door here and there just to check for any smoke or possible embers, and this seems to be an unobtrusive way to do it. The shape allows for opening many self-locking doors, both inward and outward swinging, which is what I was looking for. Haven't used it in the field yet, but have messed around with it on the doors at home, and it opened them. It works by pushing the bolt in by prying gently against the angled/ramped side of the bolt, retracting it in the same manner as it retracts when you shut the door and the bolt hits the face plate. It is not for heavy prying. Looks to be well made and about the right size to be fairly compact yet large enough to grip/manipulate easily.

Firefighting isn't for sissies and neither is this tool! Forcing entry into a building with active fire is simple; bust it down as quickly as possible. When we're on an EMS run, however, we need something that is as effective as a set of irons while doing as little damage as possible. That's where the CHAOS bar comes in. It allows for maximum effectiveness with minimum damage. Every second counts for us and there are no do-overs. We need dependable tools that increase efficiency and won't weigh us down. Thanks Milspin for continuing to serve ALL of us.

I liked myself out of my sewing room and I couldn't open up the door. I called a locksmith and he came and opened the door with this tool. He charged me $79 so I said NEVER AGAIN. And I bought this instead.

It's a little big and bulky but gets the job done. It's nice and sturdy too, so you shouldn't have to worry about bending it while using it.

So to begin with, if you don't know what it is you probably shouldn’t buy it , not being rude. The tool is extremely ridged and fuction as it should. Price is reasonable as well.
