The size is large, the material is obviously waterproof... Looks like rubber in the inside. The weight is actually pretty lightweight and it's perfect for a bedroll. One button was broken when I got it but it has a zipper as well and it was probably just a fluke. Still five stars as it's the top button and I probably won't be using it anyway.

Disclaimer: I returned it. This bivy seems to be well made, the material felt heavy and durable. It's also large and easily fit my bag and pad. My complaint is the size and weight that comes with that. I wanted something small and this is almost as large as a small tent, and for a little more money there are other options that are much lighter. If you value durability over packability I still think this is a good option.

Waterproof, windproof, and extremely rugged. Like any bivy, it will accumulate condensation if you're sealed up inside it, but proper venting of the zipper will minimize this. The zipper is heavy duty and the bag itself dries rather quickly, even in mid 50° F weather. Zips up very nicely around a standard sized military mummy profile bag.Compresses down very nicely. If you're concerned about the space it takes up, definitely purchase a separate compression sack, as the stuff-sack provided doesn't do much to shrink it down.

I was in a slight drizzle for about 3 hours, woke up with a little water intrusion, not enough to soak my sleeping bag but it was not completely dry. For the money I’m slightly disappointed.

I bought the snug pak bivy fir like $300 and then bought this fir under $100, and like it so much more than my snug pak, it packs a little bit bigger than the snug pak and theirs no face cover which honestly you don’t really need one , very thick durable material yet light , I highly recommend it

I needed to prepare for a winter field exercise, but I'm on a budget so couldn't justify springing for a Gortex BIVY. I went with this. I packed this BIVY, a wool blanket. It worked like a champ. I was quite warm during the below freezing nights. A buddy used one of these with only a wool blanket and Woobie and froze his ***s off while being fully clothed. Was that the right call? I don't know. Some say you should strip down to fill the bag with heat better. Stripping down wasn't really an option for us however.Things to note. The construction is solid. The material is a durable canvas-like material (not cotton) with a water proof layer inside.Be aware the zipper is on the right side. If your sleeping bag zipper isn't also on the fight it's a notable inconvenience. It will collect condensation inside. You'll want to ensure you dry and air it out in the morning before you pack up.I'm 6.1, 215 lbs and fit fine but there is no wiggle room. This means if your arms are out of your bag inside the BIVY they will press against the inside of the bag bringing the cold closer to youStill it's about what I expected from the description and I'll use this BIVY many, many times in the future.

Very heavy, nearly a kg!On the positive side it's an amazing piece of kit. My only problem is the weight. The zips are strong, the bottom material is highly durable, it's totally waterproof and the top material is breathable.I found this bivvy really increased the range of my sleeping bag. I paired this with a synthetic British army jungle bag and was comfortable in temperatures closer to 1 or 2 degrees celcius. If you don't mind the weight (and it's not really that bad, I'm just going ultralight these days), this bag is well worth the money and will not let you down in the field!

Bello spesso, tiene bene l’acqua e aumenta sicuramente il caldo di un classico sacco a pelo. Fa un po’ di umido ai piedi perché non traspira. Però per esperienza meglio un po’ di umido che farsi una notte zuppo. 👍🏻

I love Mil-Tec products. Just do! Also Military 1st who sells them! Great store!I want to love this bivy too!! Fabric solid, zipper great, sewing great. Quality equals USGI Bivy hands down. I have both.But......the internal button rows you use to attach your sleeping bag in the 3 piece sleep system have a problem. 3 of the 4 rows of buttons are great. Solid. However the 2 internal rows of buttons you use to to attach it to the Patrol Sleeping , line up perfectly, but one of the two rows the factory in China sewed on, are an entire row of the wrong buttons! I guess they just sewed on what they had available and called it good. But it is not good. They will not attach to the sleeping bag as it is the wrong buttons.I have contacted the Seller to let them know the factory in China sewed on the wrong buttons. The Seller has great customer service, so I will write an update to see if they are able to get the correct buttons from the factory or ship out a new one that the factory in China didn’t mangle.
