So much fun and endless options! My daughter is always looking for new ways to decorate eggs and this little gadget did the trick this year. Two AAA batteries and endless possibilities. Easy to use, not fragile or easily broken, stands up well to use by 7 year olds. The pens have bright vivid colors and they adhere well to the eggs without transferring.

This product is a gift for grandchildren to decorate eggs for Easter. Have purchased similar products in the past. There ages range from 12 to 3. Purchased two so the older children can help the little.

Great idea with apparatus that safely held an egg. The dyes were pretty colors. The Pens were easy to hold.After creating a unique decorated egg the problems arise. The dyes on the egg fade. The ink designs made on the egg from the ink pens become blurry. The pretty little egg turns into a disaster. So to save what is left, one deshells the eggs to perhaps make a salad. Unfortunately the faded dyes have seeped through theshells and the preboiled eggs look awful, unsatisfactory to present in a salad. To save the day I tossed the eggs. I actually saved the egg holder, but in the future I will buy grocery food dyes, and professional food safe paints and brushes. Have fun.

I bought these for last Easter. It was a huge hit with the granddaughters (ages 10-15 yrs). Fun, not messy and allowed for creativity. Loved it!

Pros: My 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter can operate this by herself and loves itCons: The ink in the markers stays wet for a long time which inevitably results in smudged designs and messy hands. Also dries on the eggs a much much paler color than the color of the pen cap.
