Stand Design
Built in the "cat" shape stand in the soldering iron itself, so it could be easiely to be placed on the desk after soldering job, avoid the accidental burn with skin.
USB Type-C and DC5525
At the end of the controller of soldering iron, built in ports of USB type-C and DC5525:
- USB Type-C: for firmware upgrade and power supply
- DC5525: for DC power supply
NOTE: both ports could NOT be used simultaneously !
45W US-Power Supply
Equipped with US-customized 45W power supply that ensure full power output and fast heating speed which can reach to the set temperature within 15 seconds.
PS: this is NOT a rechargeable product, it requires external power supply !
Lightweight and Portable
The length of the soldering iron is only 169mm, it is about the size of a pen which makes it very convenient to carry out in pocket to perform the soldering job anywhere and anytime.
Programmable
Connect the soldering iron to computer with USB cable, you can customize the default values; such as Standby Temperature, Work Temperature, Sleeping Time.....etc.
Firmware Upgrade
- Visit the official web and download the latest firmware
- Connect the soldering iron to computer, and press the button A (close to the soldering tip side) to enter DFU mode, once “DFU1.0” displays on the screen, a virtual disk with 8 serial numbers will appear on your computer.
- Copy the hex firmware to the root directory of that disk. When the extension of the firmware changes from “HEX” to “RDY”, disconnect USB and the firmware upgrade is complete.

I bought this to replace my breaking TS100. It's about the same level of excellence, save for the USB-C input, which is very nice. The included power supply (from geek4fun?) gave up and stopped working after about an hour though.

After doing extensive research for a modern soldering iron, I decided on this kit, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It checked all the boxes for what I was looking for, and when it arrived, it exceeded my expectations. Despite being small and lightweight, it delivers impressive performance when needed. The USB-C power functionality is a fantastic feature, adding convenience and ease of use. I highly recommend reading the manual thoroughly, as understanding how it works enhances its performance. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and would buy it again without hesitation.

My favorite soldering iron I have ever used. I wish the USB-C cable it came with was a bit longer, but if you're like me, you have a bird's nest of USB cables stashed away that you can use.Highly recommend!

The provided power brick stopped working after a measly 2 minutes. The Iron had just reached temp when I heard a click and the screen went out. Tried using another one that I had on hand and it thankfully powered on...

I have to admit I had my doubts about this before purchasing. It heats up quickly and it is powerful enough to use on bigger jobs. It's lightweight and comfortabl. Disassembled, it takes so little room it is now part of my EDC kit.

The tip it came with doesn’t work for my application. I don’t think it heats properly as for the smallest wire i can’t tin and the temp jumps all over the place.Also the solder this comes with is trash.Ts101 should be sold as the unit only and let us pick the tips and accessories we want separately.I think i should have purchased the pinecil v2 instead, especially if I had to buy a new tip to make this work properly.Updated 4/12/24:After contacting support, they advised me after plugging in the iron, with the tip that was acting up, to hold down the front button for 15 seconds. Then try to use it.This seemed like it corrected the 60c range it fluctuated.Was able to solder up a fpv quad quite easily.Note… the solder it comes with is still trash. 🤣

Overall the product works great. You get plenty of heat in a short amount of time. The control of the heat is good as well. I like the slim size of the tool. Easy to hold while soldering. The only glitch was the solder that came with the tool. It just wouldn't melt right. When I switched to a spool I had around the house it worked perfectly.
