this is a legit and super safe battery charger that works on all different sorts of batteries. It is fairly large and has some weight to it so you are going to need to secure mount this somewhere in your boat that can hold a bit of weight.It took about 24 hours to charge my two marine batteries fully and then shut itself off to a trickle charge mode to keep them topped off.The cables coming out of it are super thick and heavy duty. I’ve only had it in my boat for a month but it has worked perfectly so far and it seems to be completely waterproof. I have it mounted inside the area and have had no problems.

I actually installed this in my boat while it was on the water at my dock. Probably wasn't the best decision but it was fairly easy to do. The hardest part was figuring out exactly where to put in on my pontoon.
