The single bottle version looks weak, don't get it. The two bottle version is a tank. If your bottles are being ejected, it's your cage, not the mount. Don't use a cage that the arms can flex open or you'll lose a bottle. It's a few grams heavier than some other products but at far lower cost, much sturdier, and the design allows you to run a saddlebag if you like. It is exactly what I was looking for.

I love this add-on to my bike for long (half and full Ironman events), in addition to my two frame cages. Very easy to put on. You simply remove the metal plate, slide it on top of your saddle supports and then mount the bracket with two screws. I use this with two Ibera cages that I bought on Amazon as well and these hold two 20oz Camelbak (also from Amazon of course) bottles for additional hydration. You can lower or raise the bracket to some degree but the bottles will not interfere with your seating position. I never even know they are back there until I need to reach behind me for a bottle. I don't recall the weight but it's marginal unless you're someone who feels that 10g can improve your triathlon performance considerably.

This is not well thought out, and its unusable for me. This bracket holds the cages at 90 degrees to the ground rather than a shallower angle pointing backwards. This causes three issues:1. when getting on the bike, you risk knocking the bottles off when you swing your leg over the saddle2. when riding, your butt hits the bottles - not enough to displace them, but annoying. This also limits the ability to move back over the seat on a steep descent3. if you're riding in an aero position, the tops of your bottles are sticking up into the airflow coming off your back - adding to drag

This product has taken a lot of heat as a "bottle ejector", but I have not experienced any of that. Ok, I admit, when I hopped a curb, BOTH bottles flew off at the same time as the back tire came up the curb, but that was the only time and the circumstances were unusual. I had a good laugh, loaded them back up, and went on my way. It is well constructed, a bit heavy for the hard-core set, but simple to set up and use. I have ridden several hundred miles with them, have had no trouble with slipping or breaking where it mounts--just use common sense and tighten it properly. Under normal riding conditions it holds the bottles securely and makes them easily available. If you are worried, simply use a rubber band as a tie-down. Do not believe the negative reviews. This is a very good solution for the price.Revision July 17: It broke at the head of one of the bolts while I was riding and the back plate came off and was lost. I was unable to fix it. It is fundamentally a flawed design. I got the Profile Design holder instead. Much better design, but also more money.

This product is solid and low cost. It's easier when your mount for your water bottle is on the back of your seat rather than on your bike frame. It's funtional and looks great on my bike. After my purchase from amazon "XLAB Delta Wing 100 Single Rear Bottle Mount System" the product mount was made out of plastic and broke off in less than a week. I took the bottle holder and put it with the Minoura Rear Mount and it works like a charm. The purchase with both products still came way under my budget for a single mount and bottle holder on the market.Solid build and works as it should

I purchased this bottle cage holder for it's simple design and the two cage capability. There are several other reviews which mention the weak or cheap bracket quality. Here is the issue. The Minoura cage frame itself is well made and looks nice. The WEAK link is the bracket that the cage frame gets screwed to. I snugged the bolts enough that the cage frame would not rattle in place and then mounted my two bottle cages to the cage frame. The first time I put a test bottle in and out of the cage the mounting bracket broke. It is a low quality metal that is stamped into it's shape and therefore weakened at the creases, which are right in alignment with the threaded bolt holes. My bracket broke straight through the center of a bolt hole and all the way through so that it was in two pieces. Junky design.I manufactured my own bracket from some metal I purchased at the hardware store. Added some high quality stainless bolts and lock nuts and my cage frame now looks professionally made and is sturdy. You can pick up my bike by this now and it will support the weight of my bike. My design is simple and strong. It's a shame I had to waste 1.5hrs of my time to go to the hardware store and in making the new bracket for the cage frame. I liked the cage frame enough that I wanted to give it a shot. Additionally, my first triathlon of the season is next Sunday and I didn't want to chance it with an exchange because I'm certain the bracket on a second new unit would do exactly the same thing.Buy this if you want a simple looking bottle cage mount. But only do so if you plan to make your own mounting bracket to use in place of the one you paid for. Then it is a nice setup.

Purchased this for my road bike for 50+ mile rides when I need extra water. It attaches easily under the saddle (weighs next to nothing) and does not interfere with my road bag. I take the cages off when I'm not using it but leave the clamp attached to the saddle. It has worked well and thus far has stayed nice and tight on the saddle. I've experienced no problems with the water bottles coming out of the cages on rough roads. All in all a great product. I can see that there may be a problem attaching it to some saddles like the Koobi, but it works well with everyday saddles like Fizik.
