It’s a coloured cable with a dedicated camera connection but is very short and overpriced for what it is.

I bought this mainly for lightning photography. It took ages for a good storm to roll through the area. After some tinkering around, practice, and some firmware updates I got my chance earlier in the week to photograph lightning. All I can say is, WOW! It makes it that much easier to shoot lightning and I cannot complain about the results. This device is a beast and the battery life is incredible. What boggled my mind is it stopped working at one point during the shooting process. It would show photos being taken but no action from my Nikon D7200 (later tested on my D5100 with the same results). It turns out I must have fat-fingered something on the keypad to cause the SMART device Bluetooth to turn on and when that happens the camera won't do anything. Lesson learned. Now I hope to test out the other functions and see what I can do with that.

I have the remote plus and I don't like the way it reacts to flashlights, which, it doesn't, IMO, it rather sucks. I also realized how much I hated having to rely on my mobile phone to use it.This Smart Trigger is so much better in how it reacts to light as it also works with flashlights and lightning. Its easier to control and you don't need your mobile device to control it.

I have bought this cable twice, and both times it has bent while being inserted in the Miops lightning trigger making it useless. Just the slightest knock and it bends, they must be using soft metal because this thing is very fragile! Not recommended.

This remote sensing device can activate a camera, flash, or both, via built in microphone, laser sensor, lightning sensor, or camera and/or flash cords. It is sensitive and very adjustable. Learning curve is a bit steep but there are good videos on how to use it. My only complaint is the cables they send are far too short to be useful under most situations. Also I ordered one Nikon camera trigger cable. They sent the wrong one. The Smart MIOPS in itself is very effective, but the accessories are not up to snuff. Buy aftermarket cables. They cost less and you'll get what you need.

I haven't put this through all of it's paces yet but what I have used it for works great. It could come with better instructions but I found the manual in about 30 sec on the internet.

Just received my MIOPS. Paid an extra $4 for next day shipping. There is no camera cable in the package. I have the flash cable and usb cable but nothing to hook up the camera with. I had thought about ordering a unit with a cable compatible with my future camera and buying an extra cable to work with the camera I have now, but decided to get the new cable when I get the new camera. Funny how that worked out. Now I have neither cable to use this weekend.

Compact, portable, powerful. I have not had a lightning storm opportunity yet, but I am ready. Unit works great in laser trigger mode and with MIOPS applications for the IOS and ANDROID devices. The iPad also works well with the free app from MIOPS as a remote. I have an infrared remote trigger which is not as reliable as using the cell phone and the MIOPS Smart Trigger. Bought some ballons, marbles and things to do water splash/drop and balloon burst photography.Do yourself a favor though.... order an extension cable for the camera trigger connector. The included connector is great for having the unit mounted on the camera flash shoe, but not long enough for remote sensor use. Also, get a cheap laser pointer and spare batteries to round out this set. The pen size lasers will fit in an umbrella mount.

good quality, nice tight fit on Miops and camera so no problems with the cable getting pulled out and losing connection.

I just got a new MIOPS and am loving it. It features 7 different modes...lightning, sound, time lapse, laser,HDR, DIY and scenario. Each mode lets you choose the sensitivity and delay to help zero in on what your trying to accomplish with your photos. Will trigger either an off camera flash or the camera shutter. Great for capturing those high speed photos, wildlife, etc. You're only limited by your imagination to what you can capture with your camera using the MIOPS. The unit itself is small and compact...about the size of a cigarette pack and comes with all the needed cables. Battery charges via a USB cable connected to your computer. The unit can be placed in the hot shoe of your camera and also has threads to mount to any standard tripod. If you like to experiment with popping balloons, water drops and splashes....things like that, the MIOPS is a good choice. Capturing wildlife just got easier. Set up a laser light and when it breaks the beam the camera will fire. Catching that lightning bolt is no longer a hit or miss. The MIOPS helps you get it every time. The MIOPS is a great little unit for the priceespecially considering how many different modes it has built into one product.
