These pipes look great but there do seem to be some issues with either the design or manufacture of the pipes and boots.1. Lower pipe seems to be a bit soft. Deforms easily when boot blows off.2. Center boot is too short requiring pipes to touch each other.3. Clamps seem to loosen easily requiring frequent tightening.4. Had to roughen the clamping area of pipes to get them to hold at all.Center pipe connection is where it blows off. Finally had to install an old Gates hose and clamps from OEM pipe during a 1700mi trip towing 5th wheel to complete the trip. Old hose is still working after 1400mi at boost pressures up to 42PSI.Wish I had saved the money and just kept the OEM 1 piece pipe.I will say that Mishimoto has been responsive to the issue but will have to see what their final fix will be.Update: Mishimoto customer service will try to replace bad parts under warranty!Update: Added 2 stars since Mishimoto shipped me a complete new pipe and boot set. Don't know whether this will cure the problem but I must say the Mishimoto customer service is among the best I have ever seen.10/3/2023 UpdateI have given up. I am going to get an OEM Ford hot side 1 piece pipe.Good: Mishimoto honors the lifetime warranty. I have received a complete replacement pipe w/boots & clamps. Multiple replacement boots. Spoken to Mishimoto customer service multiple times.BAD: Boots fall apart from the inside out distributing pieces of material into the inter-cooler. Clamps stretch and need to be tightened on a daily basis when towing. Piping is too soft and easily deforms when a boot pops off. The flare on the pipe flattens over time because of the soft material making it even easier for a boot to pop off. The last boot I received lasted 2 days before it split allowing hot gasses to melt a hole through the radiator fan shroud.

I had to cut the original pipe out so that I did not have to remove half the cooling system to take it out whole. No more problems with boots blowing off at high boost. Bright finish on aluminum pipe will not hold up unless you re-polish. 4 out of 5 because of finish. My aftercooler to intake pipe is stainless steel so finish is always bright.

The installation was easy and the fitment was good the only problem is the boots won't stay on the pipe it has blown apart 8 times in 2 week's when I first put it on it would blow apart at 15-20 psi then I resorted to double clamping it and that seemed to help but blows off anywhere between 30-50 psi(Please note this is a stock 6.4 Power Stroke with a tune so no fancy turbos here)I also broke a clamp from over tightening so you can't say I wasn't trying

Installation instructions need improvement. No way to install without them touching other metal surfaces. Chrome is a waste as it is impossible to install without scratching the chrome. But definitely better air flow than oem tubes.

Perfect fitment, and the two piece design makes removal a breeze! If you have ever tried to remove the stock charge pipe, it can be time consuming, and this design makes it simple and quick. Not much of a performance gain, if any. The stock charge pipe was doing a fine job, but I wanted to round out the charge pipes with Mishimoto since I added their intercooler. Not really a "need to have part", especially at this price point. Way over priced for what it is, but you gotta' pay to play I guess.Great quality item.
