Wow Im SO glad I purchased this!!! When my tv just went out the other day I was so ready to accept that it was done and give up but then i did a lil research and decided to give this a try. And so it just came in today, took about 2 minutes to set up and if you need a tutorial I found many step by step videos on YouTube if you just type in install Mitsubishi tv lamp. So far it’s perfect and bright. Really did the job. Now Im just hoping it will last a while... will update that part later. Great first impression though, would definitely recommend ‘cause you really can’t beat that price! It works!

The lamp was a perfect fit, and very easy to install. My only complaint is that it did not include the screws, but I just use the ines that we're in the old lamp.

This simple, five minute, do-it yourself job is the best (and easiest) thing I have done in years! Our television had become so dim we were contemplating buying a new one and then I decided to see about ordering a bulb. The bulb indicator was not lit so I was hesitant, but I am so glad I did! Now the old TV is better than new. Simply install the new bulb and reset the picture settings to factory and you will be amazed!

If you have a Mitsubishi 82" DLP HDTV, you need a spare lamp, and this is the one to buy, because it's effective, easy to replace, and relatively inexpensive.I recently purchased 3 of them, and installed my first one yesterday. It installs in a few minutes (though I had a little trouble getting the two screws mounted back onto the TV. Simply unscrew the two screws that hold the mounting cover, then unscrew the two screws that hold down the lamp, and pull the old lamp straight out. The install process is the exact reverse.In brief, when your HDTV picture loses its brightness, you'll be glad you bought this lamp.

-EDIT- It lasted one year.It works; it replaced the OEM unit and it comes complete with the housing as shown. The OEM part would have been bulb-only, without the housing constituting the need for gloves in the swap/handlign portion of the process.For anyone concerned; the swap is a 3 minute ordeal, even if you have no mechanical 'skill' or experience. It really is very very easy.
