Bought this set to replace some original windows on a 1920's house, went with the MLCS product to save some money. This set does not let you to duplicate the original construction method, the rail cutter does not accommodate a tenon. Per MLCS web site " It is not practical to make the full through mortise and tenon corner joint found on the original windows in the home shop. Instead, a cope and stick is cut with the bits. Then the joint is strengthened with dowels, biscuits, or screws. If you want to reproduce the original windows I would recommended the Freud, Whiteside or infinity sets. Shipping was fast, the bit did want it said it would, it was difficult to set up to cut the matching rails. What you save in money you will spend in time.

Successfully made ten 5/4 storm windows with these. Only four stars because the inverted orientation of the rail bit prevents you from making solid tenons with this set. Additionally, the two bits have exactly the same profile and since you're flipping your wood anyway, you probably don't need a separate rail cutting bit. Quality of the metal appears to be good and remains sharp even after make 10 divided-light storm windows.I have a CMT set that I use for proper sashes with a tenon

This is my first foray into making window sashes and this tool makes it easy. Good quality and does exactly what I want it to do. Don't try this without a router table. Also, watch maximum speeds. You really need a variable speed router to use this effectively and safely.
