Works like a charm. Saved a newer controller from going in the trash and didn't have to buy a new one. If you diagnose the problem to be a faulty ribbon conductive film don't hesitate and get this.

Had to assemble the controller ac couple times to get all the buttons to work, but once I did it all my buttons are back working again. A little expensive side at $10/1, but it solved the issue.

Buttons on my controller stopped slowly stopped working. This was over a period of time after someone had spilled liquid on the controller. Cleaned the controller, but buttons still didn't work, so I suspect contacts were corroded. If your controller isn't working well after spilling liquid, or that some/all of the buttons no longer work, this will likely solve your problem, and is a cheap alternative to a new controller.

My D-PAD stopped working and I tried doing the pencil trick to no avail. Ordered this bad boy, popped it in, and so far it has been working like new. I've only used it a day but it saved me from buying a new $60 controller, and with a tutorial it isn't very difficult to replace. Only negative is the screwdriver does not fit the screws at all, so you need your own precision screwdriver.

I was able to replace film and now my direction pad Up, Down, Left, Right works. I tested what wasn't working right away. Main buttons seem to be fine. I didn't want to buy a new controller as my two controllers both stopped working for d-pad and a new game lead me to repair as I couldn't get through tutorial as i had to use those buttons! Ordered again for second controller.Update December 12th got second and installed. Tested and all buttons work. I recommend canned air and tweezers like in pic as it helps with hooking under mounts circled in blue on second pic.
