Threads very badly damaged from manufacturing processSo bad you can't even put the nut on and can easily see visually that there is significant damageThere must be no quality checks as something like this should never have left the factoryUPDATE: ordered a second one and it was a completely different brand; no-name white box and even different length/layout. Ran a dial indicator inside and was 1.5 thou out of round...many of these advertise to be 0.2 thou so comparatively this is not well made.Not expecting super high precision but expected something acceptable and these just seem to be random...almost like the Seller is supplying 'seconds'

Works fine except when using wrenches to un-torque the nut, the nut initially loosens easily and you drop the wrenches and try unscrew it by hand and it won't budge, have to get the wrenches again. It really begins to torque you off after 10-12 times! I have several other collet holders in the shop and this is the only one that exhibits that behavior.

Do not buy this they have wrong information. They said M12 thread but there is NO thread! Spend your money elsewhere. Don’t believe what you read you can’t even attach to drawbar. Waste of time and money!

I made the mistake of not checking whether or not it supported my 3/8 16 drawbar, it did not but it was easy enough to just drill it and tap it rather than buy a new one. I was completely surprised by the fit and finish of the tool. Threads are buttery smooth and hold tight no loose burs . excellent overall quality with superior machine finish. I was pleasantly surprised and would order another one ( but this time with my drawbar support in mind)
