I don't know about where you live, but the local renaissance festivals in my area all happen when the weather is hot. It can be challenging finding good clothes that are comfortable for the weather. These are perfect for both of those things. They are lightweight and comfortable. Even if you add boots, you won't overheat in these.They are somewhat true to the size chart, but I'm thinking maybe size up. However, I have large hips and an ample rear, so that might not be an issue for you.

These doublet renaissance pants are great - they are lightweight but not sheer and they are sized appropriately. They washed/dried well with no issues. The fabric looks right enough for the period and they are comfortable to wear. Will be great for summer festivals!

I love the fabric of these shorts; very cool and comfortable. They look great and the pockets are deep. I wish I would have sized up though, there’s plenty of fabric in the leg, it just would be better at the waist - for example on the size guide a small at the waist is 27”-30”, that 27” is with no stretch, 30” is probably with the elastic all the way out. So if you’re a 30 and at max stretch on that elastic, it’s a little constricting.

These work nicely for a pirate or a renaissance faire outfit. They're comfortable and breathable. The best part for me is that the waistband is nicer than just a simple drawstring that so many other pants have. Details like that add up and make for a nicer costume.They're short - as pictured they go just below the knee.The sizing is a little bit smaller than average. If you're at the upper range of the size, I'd consider going up one.

These MO GOOD Pirate Renaissance Shorts are well-made, comfortable, and attractive. Made from a soft fabric, they are great in warmer weather. Great for Ren Faires, they are a good value. I would order them again; five stars from me.

Run a little small, so I'm glad I ordered a Large instead of a Medium. Do have a stretchy/elastic back though and false/decorative front buttons. Has good sized front pockets, which is definitely nice.
