This comes in handy when I need to check on my kids ears to see if they need some cleaning or not. The app is very easy to connect to and the image is very clear. I also like that I can forward the photos to my kids pediatrician for video/telephone appointments. The unit is quite light but doesn't feel flimsy. It's well made and has a really long battery life.

This digital otoscope is easy to pair, use, take pictures and/or videos with the proprietary app. This app, available on both Apple and Android platforms must be downloaded, albeit at no additional cost. I found that it was exceptionally easy to pair through the app by scanning the QR code adhering on the otoscope itself. I was done literally in seconds. That said, I ended up deducting two points for the following reasons.First, the user needs to register an account with a valid email address in order to access the app itself. But why? There's no account specific settings or preferences to sync over the cloud. So there's no discernible reason to gatekeep control over the device entirely other than to obtain personal information from the user. Secondly, the user cannot adjust brightness of the LED bulbs during operation. It's permanently set on one fixed brightness which can either be too bright or too dim depending on the size of the canal to be inspected. Both circumstances leads to difficulty in viewing objects through the camera.To close, this product will either be useful or not depending on the situation. That ultimately wasn't what I was looking for in an otoscope, or in any product, for that matter. Hence the rather mediocre rating given to it. 3 out of 5 stars, I unfortunately wouldn't go so far as to recommend to others.

The MOBI Ear, Nose & Throat Smart Otoscope Jr. offers a decent solution for home examinations with a mix of strengths and weaknesses.On the positive side, the 1080P HD camera delivers a clear enough image for inspecting the ear canal. The rechargeable battery, charged via USB-C, offers over 90 minutes of use and the app conveniently displays battery status both in percentage and estimated remaining usage time. This feature is particularly helpful since the otoscope itself only has two LED indicators, which provide minimal information about the battery status.However, there are some drawbacks. The device uses its own Wi-Fi signal to connect to your phone, which means your phone will be disconnected from your home Wi-Fi during use. While functional, this adds some inconvenience. Additionally, the Mobi app is not dedicated to this otoscope; instead, it’s a generic smart home app that can control various devices, making setup less intuitive. I was able to pair the otoscope with my iPhone 16 Pro Max successfully, but the instructions were confusing and might be challenging for someone less experienced with tech.The device requires charging before first use, which adds a delay. Additionally, while the image quality is sufficient for ear inspections, the LED light isn’t bright enough for reliable use in the mouth or throat.Ultimately, I preferred a different model that connects directly to the phone via a cable. That alternative avoids Wi-Fi connectivity issues, draws power directly from the phone, and simplifies the experience. While the MOBI otoscope works adequately, its reliance on Wi-Fi and limited lighting are worth considering.

This otoscope is great! It was easy to download the app and get going, took probably around 5 minutes. It is very intuitive in use, takes great pictures via phone. Everything you need is included in the box, including easy to follow instructions.

This otoscope works well. In order to use the otoscope you must download the app. It’s easy to pair the otoscope with my phone, and the app is easy to download. You can watch live footage while using the otoscope. The app is very easy to navigate. So far so good.

I ordered the Mobi Otoscope to check inside my family’s ears (and my own), and wow, I was so impressed with the image quality! It’s super clear and detailed. Setting it up was a breeze, too. The device has a QR code, and once you’re in the app, you just scan it, and it connects instantly. Once you’re live, you can capture HD photos and videos of your ears, nose, and throat.The only thing I wish it had was a little more guidance on how to use it safely. Or what the tips that are included are for. We’re not doctors, and I’d love some tips on how to be extra careful. That said, it does come with different-sized tips and speculums, for multiple use.For the price, this is a fantastic product. It gives you the ability to check things out at home, which is so handy, especially if you have kids or just want some peace of mind. They also sell accessory tips for ear wax cleaning, which could definitely be useful. Those are sold separately, but it’s great to have the option.I’d 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a good otoscope for home use!
