The rubber bands supplied are organic which means the lose tension after fired a couple of times or are exposed to summer temps.Accuracy obviously depends on rubber band tension. My intent was to use it for keeping squirrels off of my bird feeders. Forget that. With the supplied bands, fresh out of the bag, the squirrels laughed when I hit them, even at 6-8 ft. Works great for flies though, at close range. I’ll purchase office quality rubber bands and try those. Can’t be any worse.Decent design but doesn’t always feed the bands properly.

Excellent toy for 8-10yo boys. They work and give lots of fun. We use many targets in the room. Good accuracy on aiming. Very ingenuine idea. We saw some with more elastics. The more the better because it gives time to adjust the aiming and hit the target eventually :))

The Elastic Precision repeater rubber band gun is fun to use, and has smooth grip. The rubber band gun is made entirely of wood, and is much sturdier than others I have owned. If loaded by the manufacturer's instructions, the misfire rate is fairly low, and the rubber bands that come with the gun are high-tensile and reusable (I've been using the same six bands for three weeks). It is more expensive that other rubber band guns -- but not if you buy this one first (I had gone through a few rubber band guns before I found this one). If you enjoy shooting rubber bands to blow off steam, this is the gun for you!

Can't say enough good about this item. Superb quality. Real wood and excellent craftsmanship. Fine example of good 'Old Fashioned Fun'. No batteries or passwords required. Pair it with theRED, WHITE and BLUE spinner target you are at the shooting booth on the Broadway at the Fair.

How much more can you expect from a gun that shoots rubber bands? Not much. I just wish the rubber bands provided with the gun were a little thicker and with a bit more "sting" in them.

I bought a small one (ppk model) and unfortunately had to return it as it wasn’t shooting straight at all. This one is a completely different story. It comes at a price, but the quality is all there. Impressive built and mechanics, all hardwood, and much more accurate when shooting. Very easy to load, a lot of fun to play with. Well done!

I bought this elastic band gun hoping to startle the squirrels wrecking havoc on my garden. These rodents are cheeky buggers and will come right up to my door (clearly someone is feeding them.) Regardless, I shot the squirrel from about 4 inches away from the side of it's body and the elastic band just "poofed" off the fur of the squirrel. It did not even startle them. I am pretty sure they did not feel a thing. Could be the extra fur or the fact that these are city squirrels and they are gangsters themselves. (Just kidding.) I want to startle them not maim them so I did not shoot toward the head. However, I paid a lot for this and tried adjusting it per the instructions but could not get the tension any tighter than it was straight out of the package. I am disappointed after reading all the reviews and watching the you tube videos that suggests this has some ability to have a bit of a sting on impact, but so far I think the squirrels are now just sitting on my fence laughing at me.The toy is well made and there are no splinters, lovely finish, which is why I gave it 3 stars, and I was able to be quite accurate with it, knocking over empty tp tubes, but the impact is less than impressive.

Short version: Really good quality and works as described. Very sturdy wood and rubber bands. Slightly annoying packaging though and not well wrapped. I still give it 5/5 stars!Long version: I gave this to my husband as a birthday gift. He loved it and instantly opened it and started playing with it. The packaging wasn't wrapped so all he had to do was pull out the top cardboard piece and open the bag of rubber bands. It loads 6 rubber bands at a time and they shoot pretty far. Without shooting at the floor the rubber bands will go from 3-5 yards. They don't hurt if you shoot them at someone although I don't really recommend doing that. The product has stood through a week of almost non-stop play. I really like the design, its sturdy and well made. I was expecting it to be less quality wood than what it was but I am very happy with this purchase! I would buy it again if I had to do it over. And yes, you can turn off your lights at night with it!

This thing is AWESOME! Smart design, and very cool. I gave it only 4 stars because for $40 I feel like they could have possibly used a hard wood. Its made from pine, which is ok, its light, but it is probably very inexpensive to produce with the pine and a hard wood would have increased the overall quality by a great deal. The grips are oak, but the rest is pine. The look and design are great though. Rubber bands get stuck from time to time if you dont carefully set/load them but its not a big deal, that was more me than the gun. The paint, the finish etc is all great quality too. Its also pretty powerful, the more bands you have loaded on it, the more it stings. Im sure a good craftsman could make their own from a nice hardwood like oak, burch, etc etc. If it gets banged around and used outside, in woods, treefort etc the pine will show as it gets beat/used. A hardwood and this thing would last a lifetime. I would say this is for older kids at least 8 and up or more. If not I could see it getting beat too much, or even busted if dropped the wrong way. Its a toy you want to take care of and treat well. The look of the 1911 is perfect though! If I could see the profit margin on this, it would get a lower score from me if it is more than 50% which is possible, because that would indicate its more about the earnings than the quality. Otherwise step it up to a hardwood and dont be too greedy/cheap. Amazing design idea.
