I used this for tea on the stovetop and it worked just perfect. I usually use a french press but sometimes that's a lot of work with cleaning. This, i just throw the herbs in the pot, let it cook then strain over a mesh strainer and papertowel. A quick wash-rinse and it's clean and ready for its next use. Next i'll try coffee the Turkish way.

VERY well made and just lovely as well as functional. Red is a stretch - it's not a true red, so if you're looking for that, don't buy this color. It's more of an orangey red, but still nice. It's really a quality piece.

This feels really nice to hold. The rubber handle had a good grip with a nice heavy bottom to retain heat when brewing. The color selection is wonderful too! The orange model I recieved is a great accent piece in the kitchen. It makes two small cups of Turkish coffee and the brew tasted great! Wasn't burned, and it was very easy to bring to the boiling temperature several times over a electric plate.I love this product and will be purchasing my next one to give as a gift.

This item fails to classify as either a good value or well made usable replica of a traditional Turkish coffee maker. It was a colossal disappointment in almost all respectsSince the only thing that is in touch with my expectations was the color. I ordered this review item in red so that it would match other China made items of cookery in my kitchen.I will start out with a large negative that prompts an advisory from this reviewer. It concerns the rim of the pot.It is perfectly round, thin, and sharp!.It is sharp enough to cut fingers and hands while scrubbing and drying. In one small area there was an small area that had a very slight wire edge for a short distance. It was less than a quarter of an inch in length. This edge, without any doubt in my mind, could cut finger tips or the palm of a hand while engaged in the process of scrubbing and washing this coffee maker. The pot looks to be large but factually holds only a little over a cup of water. The handle appears to be welded to the body. That is not a bad thing, but I would prefer to see ball peened rivets for a more traditional look. The worst part is the handle which is flat. That makes it rather unfriendly to the grasp especially while pouring the brew into a cup. It is awkward and that difficulty somewhat exacerbated because there is no extruded pouring lip on the rim of the pot. It is as I previously stated, as being 'perfectly round, thin, and sharp. The rubber burn preventing handle is created with a tight fitting slip-on rubber sleeve. The description infers that it is ergonomic. As I have often stated, someday toilet seats will be described as being ergonomic. That might be appealing to people known for sitting on their hands. The bottom of the pot is round with a shiny ferrous metal disk attached. I would assume that is a special weld of the ferrous steel to the stainless. I hope it is not glued with epoxy of high heat intensity.Whatever the processes used it was compatible with my induction countertops. Be sure that the pot is perfectly centered or you will as the advisory says, it will not be recognized by the induction heater. My induction heater recognized the pot immediately. If I moved the pot only a slight amount off of center the error warning would sound and appear. To add one more negative, the pot is at one point in the descriptive verbiage, described as being a vacuum pot.It is not, that is a false claim. Vacuum pots all consist of a top and bottom. They have a seal joining them. The heating action causes a syphoning of the heated water to the top portion of the maker. That water that is below boiling and somewhere near 180 degrees F. pours through the coffee grind and the brew then falls through a filter back to the lower vessel from which the near acid free brew is served.I mentioned that I liked the color, I would like it better if I could say for sure that the color is permanently impregnated into the stainless steel. I am thinking that is only an applique. I could be wrong but basing my opinion on the overall cheapness of this coffee maker that thought is provoked.I am rating it with two stars. In my opinion it has no real value associated with it.Shop onward, I have reviewed other Arabic pots that are practical, well made and fun to use. This one falls far short of that known criteria.
