Does what it says, including Auracast broadcasting and reception. Cool that it comes with a mic that can be plugged directly into the little unit. Annoying that it died after 3 months, but I'm ordering another one because it's the only offering on Amazon that supports Auracast reception.

Really it does what they say it does, but this is just barely usable for exercising the advanced BT 5.3 functions. There is no software "out there" to validate if it works. To date we have NO product that tests or demonstrated the functions beyond the basic BT connections. I think the BT mfg. group really failed to get the whole rollout right. Audio billboards, select audio channels of streaming info. Get your snake oil!Never be able to manage the dozens of audio streams cause we expect the OS to do it. OS never mentions if they will write software for channel management.

I needed an audio transmission system for our multilingual church. I've been seeing blurbs about Auracast for a while thinking it would be the perfect solution. I had been waiting for Auracast to be more mainstream, but needed something now, so bought these on a wing and a prayer (pun intended).I'm usually pretty leery about brands I've never heard of on Amazon, but Moorlabs makes my short list of trusted brands now. These blew away my expectations. The sound quality is excellent, and the connection is stable. I bought 20 of these for the church and use them to transmit in three languages and the rest are listening devices. Absolutely zero disruptions during service with 100+ people (some playing on their phones, ahem) in close proximity (up to 70' from transmitter).Auracast is still frustratingly hard to find, with many bold claims and promises but very little actual products for sale (as of 18MAY2024). I wish there were more products to compare to; I did buy an Eppfun transmitter just to confirm these are actually cross-functional. I was expecting a low quality product just to have first-to-market bragging rights, but have a hard time believing something much better will come out, especially for the price.I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled for these especially after reading some of the negative ones. I'd wager the issues mentioned are on the other product end. There are so many products out there that CLAIM Auracast compatibility in big bold font, then in teeny, tiny print at the bottom say pending firmware update. These guys are actually delivering now.

Battery life doesn’t last 22 hrs in the RX setting. At full charge it may last 15hrs at best. To say the least I was very disappointed.

Bought this for Low Latency Audio. Expected the audio to be disappointing but functional. But actually even using it in low latency it starts to cut out after a few seconds. You get the robot noises, as if the unit can't keep up with the audio.I'm using an FMA120 5.4 audio dongle, this is not any generic bluetooth dongle. This is from a company that makes Bluetooth chips for OTHER companies. So this is a terrible sign for general compatibility. If I'm being ultra charitable, this might work well with the official Moer dongle. But this is a bluetooth device, not Moer's proprietary radio. I would give it a 0 star for not working/poor compatibility if I could. I did not test the bluetooth classic radio nor does it matter. This is the first auracast product on Amazon which means the LC3 needs to work.I'm moving to LHDC which is low latency bluetooth codec from Asia. Not going to advertise other products on here, but it's available now. LC3 still sounds terrible and like an old school telephone or FM radio, but this product can't even do that.

I have been looking at assistive listening tech for decades, working in a couple of churches to work with induction loops. Sound quality is a bit Dalek on induction loop and there are dead zones in our setup, so I keep looking for something modern. Classic Bluetooth provides good connection but for only two listeners who must be paired with the transmitter. Auracast finally provides broadcast, and Moor Audio/MoerLabs looks like the only option so far. I have two of these dongles; one will live on a line output from the mixer and the other will be either an input to a livestream laptop or drive someone's headphones. I shall be back for more ;) but they are 'Unavailable' on Amazon.com and seem to appear only occasionally.Connection with these is good within their reach (in the same hall but the transmitter is behind a wall). Volume is low to headphones as the input is only line level; I must either feed the transmitter with boosted audio or give the listener a pocket amp - I plan on the latter as I expect these have a 3.3v class D amp with limited power. I am expecting volume to laptop (via a sound card) to be adequate.Note that the dongle only receives sound via USB; it will not provide a sound input device to a PC, thus I used the jack socket to a USB sound card.Sound from the little supplied lavalier type mike is loud and good. I could tape the dongle and mike to the lectern if necessary. Sound from the L-R inputs on the jack is probably delivered to the receiving dongle's jack at the same level.Pairing is easy - choose Rx or Tx, long press to turn on, three presses to choose Auracast. They stay configured for next time, so you only have to turn them on/off.Moor-Audio.com (Taiwan) also do headphones; I haven't tried these but as I can knock up a pocket battery headphone amp I have all the gain I need.Put them back in stock!!! Looking forward to Auracast going mainstream.
