Understand that these are two-part misters. The barbed base for attachment to 1/4" tubing (or tappped into larger tubing) and the mister itself, which must be firmly shoved and twisted into the base. As yet, I've had no issue with these separating as mentioned by other reviewers. Output is easily adjustable from a strong stream to a cooling mist.

Frequent separation from the base leaves water port open spraying into the air. the emmiter does not screw on to the base just relies on slide on tight fit to keep in place. Also the orange color will fade to white when exposed sun/heat over time.

Contrary to other reviews, these DO come with the barb fittings in the bag. The barbs seem a little larger than normal making them difficult to insert in 1/4 inch tubing, but other than that these are fantastic.

I use these misters to humidify and water about 40 Coast Redwoods. Sometimes the misters clog up, because our well water has dirt in it, but it's easy enough to take a mister apart and flush out the dirt. Otherwise, these little units work very well and very reliably. This is my second batch of 50 that I've ordered.
