Perfect Lame for scoring bread. Comes with lots of replacemant blades and blades are very sharp. I especially like the fact the blade retracts so it is safe when not in use. Nice size and feels good to use.

Easy to take the blade in and out without being afraid of cutting myself. I am new to sourdough and this was so easy to use and came with a good amount of replacement blades! I have used one blade for about 10 loaves before changing and it worked great!

It's a great concept and I love that the blade retracts. This is a great safety feature. ! It was a little hard to get my scoring lines very deep, though.

I FINALLY found a lame I think I'll like! Retractable, so safer to store, but large enough to be comfortable in a normal sized human hand; and your hand is away from the blade unlike the UFO styles.Installing/changing the blade is different so the tiniest of learning curves for that but not difficult. The design makes for a straight, blade and it is secure unlike the rod style that put a slight curve in the blade; if you like that curve then this lame is not for you.I won't be making bread, and get the chance to test it out until tomorrow so I'll try to give my final thoughts then.

This one was super cheap and so much better than the one they give you in the kits.The razor blade also retracts into the handle for safety.It lost one star because it is thin plastic. Use cautiously. I would buy another one though.

In theory great product, execution not so much. The blades that came with lame are dull. I had to purchase separate blades.
