The reviews that said it won't transfer data had me worried - but I bought this for travel and will be leaving the original cable at home to do updates and load music to my watch. The first time I plugged it into my watch I was only able to charge it. The second time, I connected it and noticed it didn't have the little "click" feel that the original cable has. So I pushed just a little bit harder after I though it was bottomed out and it moved a tiny bit with the "click feel" I was hoping for. I was able to update maps, software, and add songs - and the connection was stable for the 30 minutes it took for the task. I know others mileage may vary, but this cable is working for me. I think it's possible a tiny difference in this cable's connector shape makes it a bit tougher to plug in, or the end of the 5 year-old cable that came with the watch is a bit worn and easier to use.

Als Zweitkabel fürs Wochenenddomizil gekauft. Beim ersten Benutzen ließ sich der Adapter nur schwer Anstecken, aber danach ohne Probleme. Fester Verbund, wackelt nicht, läd einwandfrei.

I have a Garmin Vivoactive 3 and the charger that came with my watch stopped working. This charger works great, is a little longer than the original cord, which is great and overall is exactly what I needed to keep my watch charged and ready!

Much more convenient length compared to the cable that came with my Fenix 5S plus. Unfortunately, the connection is not as reliable - sometimes dislodges just setting watch down on my desk after plugging in and does not consistently allow for data sync. Charges the watch fine though so at least there's that.

the cable stopped working on my vivoactive 3. I bought a cable that had a round base that is the size of the watch and fits under the watch instead.

The cord that came with my phone was quite short. Now I am happy I lost it! The connection matches up perfectly and the longer length means I have more options when plugging it in. I should have made this purchase some time ago. It seemed a little more expensive than some of the other ones but since it is perfect, it feels likely worth it.

I was tired of always forgetting my Garmin charging cable at home when on travel, or mistakenly leaving it in my office over the weekend. I bought two of these cables to keep as backups. The original cable stays in my gym bag, one stays in my office and one at home. These cables are longer than the original and both of them charge and transfer data as well as the original one. Some people have reported that they stop after working a few months of use. I will update this review if that happens to me, thus I cannot speak of the durability.
