If you're getting into coffee then a hand grinder is a must. I've tried 3 different ones from Amazon and this is the best one. The grind size is adjustable from coarse to fine. The internals are high quality with the burr star being notable a 6 star compared to most other ones that are 5. The grip feels great in my hand. The wooden handle on the crank is a nice touch and the length of the crank is just right for an easy grind. It holds 1/3 cup of beans each load which amounts to 25g. It comes with a spoon, carrying pouch and a brush along with instructions though you could do without the instructions because it's so simple to use. I use it for pour over and french press and it works great. Highly recommended for the price.

This is actually a fine unit for the price. It squeaks a little when grinding but it does a good job and grinds quickly. I can only grind 18 grams of coffee at a time but that is fine for my espresso machine.

Didn't know if I would like grinding coffee by hand, but after trying electric grinders I found it does a better job of getting the correct grind. The power grinders pulverize most of the beans to powder. I use a percolator so I needed a course grind. This one does the trick!

Impressive for what it costs. I can easily imagine it in a nice store for three times what it cost. Quality seems really good. Heavily constructed, feels good in the hand, and works well. I had a similar grinder, but it had a really short handle and was annoying to use. This handle is a proper length, making grinding easy. FYI, it takes about one minute to finish grading when you fill it completely with beans. I seems longer than that. LOL, but it's really just a minute.

What did we buy this for? I'm into pour over coffee and air-press coffee makers (avoiding the brand name). Grinding your own beans makes a significant difference if you like a smoother medium roast flavor. Less dramatic difference for the folks who enjoy a dark roast retail coffee experience (again, avoiding the chain name there). I like to introduce people to hand made coffee, and hand ground beans, and so I'm always looking for an economical grinder to recommend. How did this one perform? Just fine, no complaints. It's a grinder and cleaning brush in a sturdy storage box. No frills or extras like a drawstring bag - which I never seem to use anyhow.Courseness adjustment works fine. I actually like that they did not put any numbers or instructions on the dial itself, because half the time those numbers are wrong. The instruction book is fine, gest you close. From there you just adjust and test until you get your grind. So I like the simplicity of this model.Wooden knob is a nice finish, and the design of the handle and cap are clean. Metal finish is nice, durable. Body of grinder feels solid, gentle ridges for gripping texture is nice. firm and turns nice in your hand. Machining of stainless steel parts and grinding blade is all good, doesn’t look or feel cheap, grinds beans just fine.No complaints, good simple and well built grinder. Zero complaints, definitely recommend.

This grinder seems to be very well constructed. It has a sturdy feel in the hand, and grinds very nicely. My only complaint is how small it is. I wish it had a larger capacity.

I have used this grinder thrice a week for the last four months. It's a simple grinder that feels incredibly comfortable to use because of the handle that has a nice curve and spins effortlessly. However, the lid the handle is on sometimes detaches when spinning, so some hand precision is needed. The basin can hold enough very fine-grind coffee for a 51mm double espresso basket. (Using the 2:1 espresso golden ratio.)It's easy to take apart to clean and I haven't had an issue switching grind sizes between espresso and pour-over coffees.
