Monoprice Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.

I always find that Monoprice's ethernet solid pure copper cables are the best for my purposes. Easy to setup for crimping with the RJ-45 connectors and the cable is fairly flexible too.Great throughput with the speeds also.PURE 100% COPPER WIRE! To get an excellent connection and avoid issues later on, always use 100% copper cable.CCA (copper-coated aluminum) is a joke and a rip-off.

I've used many different brands of Ethernet cable over the years, and this one stacks up with some of the more expensive big name brands. It was easy to pull and punch down on the blocks. I would recommend this for DIYers or professionals.

What can you say? It's a good Cat 5e cable.

You could easily pay more for pure copper Cat5e cord, but there's no need to. On technical forums that I read, several people recommended the Monoprice brand. I was pleased that it came wound in a box but I found that it kept getting stuck when trying to pull it out through the plastic "feeder". I had to open the box and un-knot it every few feet. I just pulled out a bunch of it at one time and then pulled the freed cable to it's destination - not that big a deal. I might have had an easier time if I'd just removed the coiled up cable from the box instead of trying to use the box as a feeder.

Monopice is hard to beat. Cable quality matters and MP offers quality, tested and certified cable at a great price.

For the price of 41 USD, this cable has a value that is hard to beat. Id say its better than the cable by Southwire, usually found at the local HDepot. Other than that, its a Cat5e cable, so it does its job well. Other than the value, there's nothing else to glow about. The cable sheathing is acceptable, as is the cable twisting. Now remember the value for money part? Well you have to give up something to pay that lower price, and durability is what takes the hit. The cable is susceptible to flexion (bending back and forth consistently) damage. The internal copper sheathing is very brittle and will crack from this. I would probably not use this cable as an "on-the-go" Ethernet cable, BUT, as a patch cable for in-wall and attic runs, its perfectly fine.Would definitely buy again for more Ethernet runs!

This is solid copper cable not CCA which is a plus as a lot of twisted pair sold on here unfortunately seems to be the latter. Got this for a couple IP cameras at my house. Already did a couple runs and it glided through the pathway I made no problem. No issues putting on connectors on the camera end or punching down the patch panel on the NVR end. Was very inexpensive especially with the sale/discount price I got it for. Cameras are functioning as expected. No complaints.

This is very high quality UTP Cat. 5e Ethernet cable. This cable is rated for Gigabit speed at 100 meters/328 feet. This cable is solid copper, and not cheap Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA), so it is electrical code compliant for Power Over Ethernet (POE) transmission. This cable is UL listed, and riser rated. However, this is not plenum rated cable. The color coding on the 8 individual conductors is very distinguishable, and the copper wires are very stiff and easy to work with. However, the outer insulation jacket is soft and pliable, so it is easy to manipulate. This cable is easy to terminate with RJ45 connectors, and aslo easy punch down on patch panels and Keystone jacks. This is solid core cable, not stranded, so it is designed to install inside walls, and not necessarily to be used for making patch cables (although it will work in a pinch). I have used thousands of feet of Monoprice cable over the years, and it has never let me down. I have also used many Monoprice audio components, and they are all of the same high quality as this cable. If someone has a lot of network cable to install, then I highly recommend this Monoprice cable.

Make sure when you are buying cable that it is not CCA but Pure Copper. You can google the differences but basically copper is the way to go and provides the best connection. Monoprice is probably the best value on the market.
