I'm an old man and a friend who is much younger than me by 40 years. Help me with these air shocks. When he'd seen him, he said, what are these? I told him air shocks, then when he pulled him out of the box I never seen anything like this. Oh no, it doesn't reach the top. I said you have to apply some air to it. In order for it to extend to the location. After he finished a job he said I would have never known what to do with these. I thought they were too shows sure. I know. I am very happy with the ride. And the price was very reasonable. I remember paying much more for these back when I was 18.

I didn’t use the provided lower bolts as they were too big. I did add washers on each side of the rubber in the shock at the lower mount and used my original bolts to squish the rubber into the shock to make a snug fit.

I put this on a 1987 Pontiac TransAm GTA. The shocks are good but comes with the wrong hardware. The bottom bolts where it bolts to the axle are the wrong size. Had to buy new hardware and bushingsUpdate on October 16th 2022. Wrong hardware. I bought these shocks on July 21st 2022. I installed these on July 23rd 2022. Today is October 16th 2022. They held 15psi for almost 3 months. I was traveling and noticed that the ride was getting rough in the back. So when I got back to the house to check air pressure, I had 0 ps. So I fired up the air compressor and as soon I added Air to the line I heard the hissing. Put the car up on ramps to find a hole in the bad. No not the banding but smack dab in the middle of the bag. What a waste of time and money. No more with Monroe products. Their products are becoming trash

In the next few days, I will be returning the shocks. After a long install session, with very hard to remove older original shocks. The new shocks (one of them) leaked at the air intake fitting. The air lines worked great and after hours of trying to hunt down a leak in an airline. The leak was not there. It was in the seal around where the air line attaches to the shock, the actual metal of the shock. With all the hours involved in installation and it not being a simple air line issue. I am not able to fix the said shock by myself and any attempt to fix it would destroy the shock itself, such as welding the joint and or using a product like JBWeld.... I was deep in the wilderness installing these shocks (I have had to reinstall old leaking shocks, just to get on the road again) and my suggestion is that somehow to test the shocks before trying to install. But then I would have thought that the factory would have tested them in the first place?
