This is an incredible grill!! First, the packaging. It was packed tightly and unbelievably well... tons of protection. The entire upper portion of the grill was encased in its own polystyrene mold and surrounded by corrugate cardboard. The rest was either in its own box with foam wrap or wrapped in plastic to prevent any sort of friction. And everything fit so neatly together in the box that I had serious doubts that all of the parts were there. They were! This grill was easy as pie to put together. I watched the video in the description as I put it together. Once I had all of the parts unpackaged and layed out, it took me just one hour to assemble. Seriously, the unpacking was the most laborious part.I did not hestitate using my new grill, breaking it in properly with a Wagyu Ribeye and "foiled" potatoes/onions. Within the past week I have also grilled chicken thighs (marinated... and unmarinated for my spoiled dog) and roasted a couple of pounds of Hatch chilis to can and last me through til next year. The drip pan, drip plate, and cast-iron coated grates are a snap to remove and clean with good grill brush and simple soap & water. I also routinely 'season' the grates with Olive oil after cleaning. There was a small 1" area on the inside of the side of the grill that was not painted but I easily remedied that myself with a short burst of high heat grill paint to protect and prevent it from rusting. In no way did that deter me from giving this grill a 5-star super review. I researched extensively for a new grill and I am so glad that I made the right choice of buying a Monument grill. This particular one fits my needs perfectly. I LOVE THIS GRILL!!!!A word of advice; LEARN your grill. Cook a variety of foods to understand and get used to the control knob settings.

Edit: Two week update now 3/5 - this grill produces grease fires WAY TOO EASILY. I'm on only my 5th grill with it. My Weber would go seasons without a grease fire.Just assembled this grill. Several quality issues off the bat. A chip in the firebox near the burners and one side was dented in a corner. Assembly took about an hour and a half, taking my time. Everything went together fine.Heat's up fast. I haven't grilled yet.The thickness of the metal gives me pause... This is no Weber or broil king. The metal is several mm thinner. For the price point it's ok, but this is marketed as higher endMy Weber lasted 12 years until the bottom rusted out. I'll be shocked if this grill makes it to year 6.Not dissatisfied, but just know what you're committing to. 4/5

This grill is going to be easier to clean than my sister’s Weber grill, but I would say some of the materials are lighter duty than hers. It’s a comfortable height to cook on and the lid opens and closes nicely. FYI the side tables do not fold down on this particular monument grill because of the side burner. If you want one with tables that fold down, get the monument grill without a side burner. Went together well, good directions.

Grill arrived damaged, but I did not notice until it was fully assembled (crack in aluminum lid). Messaged the factory in Atlanta GA and requested a replacement part but they did not have one on hand. After some incredibly polite discussion they agreed to simply send me an entire new grill, which arrived within about 3 days. This unit works extremely well and 12,000 BTU's per burner is hot enough to quick-sear one-inch thick steaks. Burner control is precise and lighted dials show if a burner is on or off. The 3-burner (plus side burner) model has side by side cast iron grates which are small enough to lay flat in my tiny kitchen sink for cleaning. Extremely happy with it. Do not recall their stated capacity, but it will easily handle a dozen burger patties with enough spare room to scoop and flip. Upper shelf grill is stationary and does not ride up and down with the lid. NOTE: Govt regs have added a safety sensor to propane tanks, which can unexpectedly throttle the regulator. If you lose pressure, google "how to reset a propane regulator". It's not the grill's fault, it's the propane tank safety gizmo.

Replaced 6 year old, similarly sized Char-Broil with the Mesa305 grill. The M305 is very well constructed and packaged super well. Assembly using the included instructions was very easy with just a screwdriver and some wire cutters. Very nice grill (and cover) overall, especially given it's price point.

I really debated amongst a cheap grill and a nice one. At first I didn’t want the monument one because of the window. I thought it would be smoky, hard to see and a bunch of work to clean. I was wrong. I bought it despite the window. This thing rocks. It’s really powerful (better than my old Webber spirit). The grates are super high quality and leave great grill marks. My first cook was a spendy tomahawk steak (wanted to christen it). It cooked it a perfect medium rare with a great char and pink in the middle. I’ve cooked 7-8 times on it now and the window still looks brand new. It’s also nice to see if there’s any flare ups. Even though I’m cooking between 300-600, I never have any problem seeing the meat. I saw some ppl complain about assembly instructions. I found a YouTube video that gave step by step instructions. I got it all done in about an hour. Not bad at all. If you’re debating about this one like I was, get it. Better than Webber and $200-300 less. Also only $200 more than the cheapos.
