I finally decided to change my Struts after 200k miles, long overdue. I swapped the passenger side strut then moved to the driver side. Upon disassembly I discovered the driver side OEM spring was broken. Back together she went until I can do some research for springs.I decided to go with these Moog Heavy Duty springs. After receiving the springs a couple of weeks ago I found time to take the struts back off and swap the spring on the passenger side and swap spring and the strut on the driver side. This is not a job that can be done with those cheap temporary coil springs compressors as they have to be compressed then unsprung. Luckily a friend had a pro coil spring tool that I borrowed to get this done.Unsprung these are slightly shorter than OEM springs. They do have more thicker coils so compressing these was a workout. Overall these raised the front slightly. Years ago I put helper springs in the rear. The combination of the helper springs with these heavy duty coils make my truck look balanced front to rear again.Obviously after 200k miles on the OEM springs and struts these are a firmer ride. Not obnoxious and feel more stable compared to my worn out OEM parts. I am pleased with the ride quality of these coils.

I gave 4 stars mostly because of my ignorance thinking the HD is better and would soften up over time. But 2yrs later there still beating the snot out of me which I should of realized the moment I had to have them installed by a machine shop. After the 3 different spring compressors I tried either bent or wouldn't fit around the springs these are definitely designed for extreme front wheel weight

I had to buy new springs after I pulled the old struts off my f-150 4x4 and found the old springs were broken and I had already purchased and received new struts (without springs, trying to save a few bucks) These springs are a slight bit shorter then the stock ones (pictured) and had a coil less in count but they are heavy duty springs and the diameter of the spring is thicker and the spring is definitely stiffer. My truck does have a 2" lift kit installed and these springs worked perfectly. Remember these springs will settle a bit so it's best to give them the time needed under the full vehicles weight before you tighten everything down. All in all I'm quite happy with them so far, well worth the price!

It said these would fit a 05 GMC Safari. These are not even close and upon cross reference they are for a ford f150.... Money lost they are now just taking up space in my garage

This will make your front end sit about 2” higher than stock. Not necessarily an issue if you want to lift the rear end to level it out. Just an unintended result I wasn’t expecting.

These things came to me all best up, like many of the other reviews out there. I thought it would be OK and figured my current ones would be kinda that way too after being in my truck for 6 years. But that was not the case. The ones in my truck looked better than the new ones. Also, don't use the small little spring compressors you can rent from the auto parts store... They barely fit between the coils to begin with, and you won't be able to get them out when you have them compressed.

Installed these on a 2010 f150 king ranch, went for the heavy duty- just because why not-, and even tho the numbers here match Moog's website for direct fit replacement, they are not factory height replacement. Paired with Bilstein 5100's and set to the lowest setting, and the truck sits an inch higher at least. The truck is now levelled. I did not want that, now when I tow the truck dips at the rear. Not to mention ride quality is no better than it was riding on 2 broken springs.... Wtf

Have a 2011 F150 FX4 bought these to replace my OEM Springs. There are definitely a lot more heavy duty than the OEM Springs these actually bent the plate on the spring compressor when putting them on.

My 05 f150's coils finally broke, most 05's broke in the first 5 years. After doing some research I found Moog made stock replacements and heavy duty replacements. I chose these heavy duty coils, they have noticeably more coils to them and the coil is just as thick as the OEM's. I brought my Bilstein 5100's down a notch and didn't lose any of my lift/level. No difference in ride quality from the originals (pre-break of course).

04 F150 springs finally broke. I installed these on Bilstein 5100s with 2" lift. One thing to keep in mind... if you install these yourself, make sure your strut compressors will work with these. I have several sets and all were either too small, or the hooks where too big to fit between the coils (and they were fine for the stock f150 coils). These have thicker coils, and they're spaced more closely together. Maybe just taken the assembly to somebody to assemble the strut. It'll save some time.
