These were a perfect fit for my 2002 Ford Ranger with Coil Springs. I replaced each side and it only took about 20 minutes. Great quality part. Make sure to add a little bit more grease after the install.

I spray the the nuts with PB Blast and let them set a while. Then used a MAP gas torch to heat the nut. I did lock a pair of vise-grips near the cover of the inner tie-rod to keep the heat away from the black bellow or cover. I cam loose and this was on a 2005 Ranger that sit outside, and has been drove in Ohio salty winters for many years. I had taken a piece of cardboard from a 12 pack of pop cans and marked from the center of the tie rod, where the grease fitting would be if the original had any to the groove in the inner tie rod just inside the threaded portion. I also marked the thread before I removed the old tie rod. I put the stop nut back where it was and screwed the new tie rod on and locked to the nut. Not I re-used the old nut. When I check from the Grove it looked the same. When I drove it drove fine.

This was a perfect fit for my explorer and I would buy again. Just be extremely careful installing the grease fitting. Putting mine in after having installed the part on the vehicle and the fitting snapped in half while installing it. It never snugged up so I wasn’t overtightening. The threads just snapped off inside the tire rod end. After some thrown tools and multiple words I can’t repeat in here, I had to take it apart and get a replacement. So I was without a vehicle for a couple of days til amazon got me a replacement, which they did. Amazon’s customer service was great. Moog has a reputation for quality so I’m just attributing this to a fluke. The other side and the replacement went in without any issues.

Worked good on my 2000 ford explorer. Just wish it had a grease nipple that is why the 4 star rating. Better then the crappy Canadian Tire ones I purchased that lasted 6 months.
