This piece is not good, it is missing a c clamp. The piece was installed, but it came out of place and caused a very serious problem. So it caused me physical damage and is unsafe

Llegó el pedido en tiempo y lo que se solicita, solo que llegó con una pieza faltante. El empaque no estaba dañado y en buenas condiciones. La pieza que falta es la grasera con la que se aplica la grasa lubricante a la rótula. A excepción de ese detalle se nota que es un producto de calidad.

This is a terrible product and I regret buying and installing these. I installed with a ball joint press like I have dozens of others however there is no clip to retain these ball joints in so after a month of normal driving the splined portion literally fell out. It's too late for me to return these for a refund but more importantly it's unsafe. I'm removing the other side that I also did instead of waiting for it to fall off. AC Delco is what I'm replacing it with, it's $5 cheaper and is also greasable but comes with a snapring to keep it in place.

Been using these ball joints for years on many escapes/Mariner and tributes. Yes they do fit tight and that's good. Being a stamped steel control arm when removing the old ball joint this tends to stretch the area. I'm Sure moog knew this hence made them a thicker. If you are diy and you don't know how to use a press properly, you will mess up.

I bought the ball joint for my 2012 Ford Escape V6. I checked reviews and worry about the OD size bigger than original one. Unfortunately, the worries came to true. Moog ball joint OD is 42.50mm. The original one was oval shape 42.37x42.22mm. It’s not ready to press in. I have to grind the ball joint to 42.40x42.30mm. Next time, I will change the whole low control arm instead of only change ball joint. The Moog ball joint quality is pretty good, but the size is not ready to press in for my 2012 ford escape.

This fit my 2001 Ford Escape and was much heavier feeling than the stock Ford unit or the AC Delco brand that lasted only 4 years. It solved the clunking noise when going over bumps and improved the freeway handling tremendously. The installation went as expected, but requires the removal of the entire lower control arm and a ball joint press.
