This gasket is so thick and doesn't keep on site when getting torque.

I purchased this gasket because I did not want to remove the motor, and so far it seems to be holding. I did remove the cab bolts and lift the cab, then remove the motor and transmission bolts and jacked up the motor about 8 inches and jacked up the transmission about 2 inches. It really wasn't that bad of a job seeing as it was only a total of 16 bolts in total that had to be removed. You do also need to remove the coolant overflow tank and remove the bolts on the top of the fan shroud, or you will break the shroud if you don't. I also purchased a new pan because they are only $90 and for the amount of time that this takes, I didn't want to take any chances. The total cost was under $200 for the gasket and new pan, compared to the $2000 + dollars it costs for someone to pull your motor, and use gasket maker on your old pan while also most likely messing something else up in the process. Just make sure you clean the bottom of the motor (mating surface) SUPER well, I used a small wire brush and went over it till it was shiny, then use a new pan to ensure there's no old gasket maker left on the old pan or bends in the top of the old pan. I also recommend using grey gasket maker in all the bends and gap points of the bottom of the motor (this may not makes sense but look up a video on youtube and you'll see what I mean). It sounds like for some people it seems the gasket didn't work, but I think it's because they didn't prep properly, meaning cleaning the surface well and using a new pan. Hope this helps someone and yes, the gasket seems to be working so far.

If you have a 7.3 L power stroke with oil leaks, which I know you do! Then this is the right gasket for you because it is amazing and I have a 7.3 with no oil leaks anymore. It’s a bit of a job to get it on there because you have to lift the cab and then lift the engine to put it on but well worth the time spent, I will never use any other kind of gasket!

Fitment was excellent, high quality and does not leak and squish out like cheaper ones. Used on my f350 with the 7.3 and it was by far the highest quality gasket I've ever seen. Price is high but you get what you pay for and it is well worth the near 100 dollar price.

Awesome product used it on an International 4700 with a 7.3 , super easy and most important great tight fit on rear of engine where its hard to get with gasket maker, will be using this as well on my 2001 Ford F250. Highly recommend this product.

It is easy to install .Just raising the body and engine on a 2000 f350 7.3 diesel is the hard part.

OEM calls for no gasket using sealer only. This is a heavy engine which makes it tough to roll it over even on a stand. This gasket comes with new bolts and installs about as simple as it can be. The engine has yet to start so hopefully it does as it should. Pay attention to the install guide that shows where to place sealant to achieve full sealing optimum.

Installed without removing the engine or raising the cab. Raised engine enough to put 2x4s under engine mounts. Removed oil cooler to lower oil pan enough to clean surface with pneumatic wire brush. You must clean old Sealer completely. Then I fed one side of the gasket over and into the oil pan then I skid the other side up and over the mounting studs for pan then over the studs on the other side. Used some transmission assembly gel to hold the center part of gasket in place front and rear ends of pan. Pushed pan up and torqued nuts tight checking the gasket all the way around to check correct position. I do a lot of powerstroke work for people on a budget and this works excellent as long as you clean the surfaces well. I use no silicone or Sealer and never any leaks.

Moroso makes a great product, FORD makes one the is very difficult to work on. Be aware if you get this, the oil pan will not just drop out. We had to unbolt the body lift it 6 inches, then unbolt the engine and lift it 4 inches in order to get the pan out. This gasket set was awesome since we did not have to remove the engine to ensure Ford's gasket goo would work (per Ford's instructions)!!
